I've been on two retreats with Rebecca Crane and Jaya Rudgard and can't quite put into words how amazing they were. Both are incredible mindfulness teachers, and I loved soaking up their wise words. Unfortunately I can't make this retreat but if I could, I definitely would. Discover Your Ikigai and Strengthen Your Moai Do you know your reason for being, or your purpose in life? Most people who attend a Greatness Retreat do not know their purpose. Dan Buettner and his team of National Geographic demographers researched the Okinawans of Japan exposing them to the two most essential keys to his subjects’ long lifespans: ikigai and moai. “Ikigai” can be loosely translated into English as “a reason for being” or one’s life purpose. Okinawans stress the importance of having a core purpose that gives one a sense of responsibility, usefulness, and joy. A “moai” is a collective group of people gathered for a common purpose or interest.
