Imagine empowering 2,000 patients in St. Petersburg with remote healthcare access through innovative telehealth technologies! That was my reality as the Project Finance Lead for the Telehealth Initiative at Medical Center XXI Century (MC XXI). Beyond the Numbers: This journey started with crafting a compelling grant proposal, securing a $700,000 grant, and meticulously managing budgets and cash flow. But soon, leadership demands emerged. Bridging the Gap: MC XXI's medical team, understandably traditionalist, initially resisted change. I facilitated open communication, fostering collaboration between medical, technical, and management teams. This synergy aligned everyone's vision and paved the way for smooth project execution. Financial Acumen in Action: Balancing diverse stakeholder expectations with strict budget constraints and public grant conditions was no easy feat. My meticulous planning and proactive cost-saving measures ensured we delivered under budget, exceeding expectations. Impactful Results: The project's success transcended numbers. We empowered 2,000 patients with convenient and affordable telehealth services, modernizing healthcare at MC XXI. Additionally, we implemented specific telehealth gadgets, aligning with MC XXI's strategic priorities. Transparency & Recognition: Our commitment to transparency resonated with the Federal office, with our comprehensive and timely reports exceeding their expectations. This solidified our reputation as responsible grant recipients. My (a little too late) Top Takeaways from TMF Summit 2024 Takeaway 1: This crew is always #TooMuchFun!   Thank you to Jamie Marie Toth, Wendy Beeby, Gillian Gittens, Grace Crawford, all of the presenters and attendees, and the CRAZY crowd of St Patrick’s Day partiers in Savannah, GA for such a great time! Can’t wait for the next one.   Takeaway 2: Seems everyone in the #TMF space is doing, or is contemplating, a #migration. It just so happens that Daelight is a Veeva-Certified Migration Partner. :-) Reach out to me to discuss your options.   Takeaway 3: I met a lot of people who are working in very small TMF departments.
