Clausen Miller’s Florida and Texas partners were delighted to visit Chicago last week for events hosted by the Firm’s home office. Partners from multiple Clausen Miller offices attended a Cubs game, collaborated in the office and concluded the three-day get-together with a golf outing. The visit showcases the Firm’s commitment to fostering strong bonds within our team, which empowers us to work together across offices with great effectiveness. 

The Illinois Appellate Court reversed a lower court’s decision to keep a case in Cook County upon finding it should have been heard in the county where the defendant’s facility was located. Eli Vine and Kathleen Klein examine how the case may serve as precedent against forum shopping plaintiffs.

Today, I am incredibly proud and grateful to witness the evolution of our Firm to one where women lead the charge, enjoy the flexibility to raise families while fiercely litigating for our clients, and, to borrow from the magnificent Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, women at CM are in all the rooms where decisions are being made.”
