However, it might also end up making you choose something that you might regret later. At these times, remembering that your current state doesn't define you becomes very important. 2. Remember the power of "No" Saying "No" is always an essential aspect of career growth. Rejecting certain opportunities might cause more difficulty in the short run. Still, in the long run, it allows you to seize the right kind of opportunity without being bound to one. 3. Achieving short term goals, but at what cost? Desperation often brings motivation, but it isn't necessarily the right kind of motivation. Putting in a lot of hard work for a few days to gain quick results can make you susceptible to feelings of worthlessness if you do not see the desired outcome. It is important to understand that quick rewards are significant but might distract you from achieving your long-term goals. 4. Be aware of people looking to take your advantage Desperation brings you to your toes, which is a great start, especially after a long break. But it also gives others an advantage over you.
