Your point about caring less about what other people think is so important. Much as I hate to admit it, that's been a big challenge for me throughout my life. Thankfully, the older I get, the fewer %$@'s I give. 😂 Working on "imperfectionism" has helped enormously, too. Self-compassion is a game-changer! As I call my Golden Formula: self-awareness + self-compassion = the key to everything good! Kudos on the ASBN Small Business Network spot! You rocked it! 👏

Yay! What a great interview. Bravo. I love the advice to leaders to find the common humanity and share your imperfections as "your employees already know you aren't perfect"

Letting go of what others thing is a big transition point. Early in life, we are shaped by others — parents, teachers, peers, early managers, etc. In that phase of life, it’s appropriate to care what others think. The challenge is making the change, to let go of that and forge your own path. It’s a challenge for many people. Not that I know anything about that…

I'd say that the phrase "Embracing imperfection" is the most honest and valuable thing to do in teams. And generally with people. It always works and always improves relations.

Kathy Klotz-Guest MA, MBA Yay, imperfection. The truth is that imperfection is perfect. My growing consciousness: not needing others' approval for me to do just about anything. Period. Now I can create with zest!!
