🥕 What do vegans eat? Lettuce, carrots and even grass, right? 🌿
This week, I listened to an established youtuber ranting about how a vegan will never get a meat eater to eat grass! He also said not to bother to comment as he will just delete it. Such a closed mind and such a shame.
Apart from the ridiculous 'eating grass' comment, I wanted to suggest that many vegans began life as meat eaters, so his argument is quite flawed.
But I didn't create this post for a debate (although you are welcome to comment on anything, obviously). Rather, it's to celebrate the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE CARROT! 🥕 And my grandson's new found love of carrots.
This photograph shows my grandson proudly holding up a bunch of carrots in my garden. He proceeded to wash and eat two before I could give him his lunch. And then put another two in his rucksack to take home. 🤣
It's so refreshing when a young child craves good, wholesome and healthy food. I know some adults struggle to get children to eat their veg. But this little one loves all fruit and veg. He even loves olives. Something his grandmother is still struggling to enjoy.
🥕 International Carrot Day is celebrated every year on April 4th.
🥕 I was a little amused to discover that carrot lovers all over the world, celebrate this day with carrot parties and other carrot-related festivities. I would love to see what they look like.
🥕 Although, I must admit to not hearing about this until recently, I can imagine my grandson having a whale of a time at one of these parties.
Have you heard of International Carrot Day? Do you have a vegetable that you could devour all day long? Tell me in the comments. 😁
