Einstein’s true legacy is his ground-breaking discovery that simple, beautiful and purely mathematical LOCAL SYMMETRY is Nature’s (the cosmos’) primary feature. Understanding central properties of Local Symmetry can also help us to see why and how Local Symmetry underpins all, including the motion of a objects – from a flying ball to a photon speeding through empty space. The description of the trajectory via the LEAST ACTION principle again illustrates how elegantly Nature uses its central feature of Local Symmetry to produce reality, like the path of a flying ball or photon. These insights also help us to see why understanding Local Symmetry is so important for each human being, and hence humanity as a whole, to build a positive future for all: people and planet. #alberteinstein #localsymmetry #physics #leastaction #action #earth #quantum #lightspeed #symmetry #science #energy #cosmos #mathematics #nature #balance #simplicity #elegance #harmony #humanity #code Some quotes and references from the talk: “The perspectives offered by symmetry (…) It is imperative that we try to give the nonscientific members of society, who, through democratic processes, make the final decisions, a better understanding of the key issues. In fact, our future depends upon it.” Leon M. Lederman & Christopher T. Hill (Symmetry and the Beautiful Universe, 2004, pp.24-25) “It is of greatest importance that the general public be given an opportunity to experience—consciously and intelligently—the efforts and results of scientific research...” Albert Einstein (From the foreword of September 10, 1948, to Lincoln Barnett’s The Universe and Dr. Einstein; 2nd rev. ed. New York: Bantam, 1957), 9 I regard Einstein’s understanding of how symmetry dictates design as one of the truly profound insights in the history of physics. Anthony Zee (Fearful Symmetry, 2007, p.98) “Plato’s vision, to derive structure from symmetry, is one that echoes through the ages (...) the idea that there is symmetry at the root of Nature has come to dominate our understanding of physical reality. The far-fetched idea that symmetry dictates structure (...) has become, at the unmapped frontiers of the unknown, our guiding star.” Frank Wilczek (A Beautiful Question, 2015, p.48) “Symmetry (...) When two things are the same thing, or equivalent, in mathematics, we say that they are equal, and we use the ubiquitous = sign.” Leon M. Lederman & Christopher T. Hill (Symmetry and the Beautiful Universe, 2004, pp.14-15) “...the precise Platonic mathematical world (...) most of this mystery resides with the concepts that lie outside the comparatively limited part of it where algorithms and computation reside.” Roger Penrose (The Emperor’s New Mind, 1999, p.579) “Based on our experiences so far, we have reason to be confident that nature is the realization of the simplest conceivable mathematical concept.” Albert Einstein (On the Method of Theoretical Physics, 10 June 1933, Author translation)

Tested semiconductors in Silicon Valley, purchasing, inventory, new electronic product development, component engineering, ROHS/REACH compliance, hardware/software patent analysis to determine infringement, etc.
Hidden Figures, a 2016 film, is a lesson for people who do the hiring today in that the primary question to candidates should be: Can you do the job? No red flag inquiries. Just the simple question. Sure merit and education helps too. But finding faults should not be the focus of hiring. You focus on removing whatever obstacles there are and provide an environment to help those who work for you to flourish and contribute what they are good at doing, what they bring to your company, to add the growth you need... whatever it takes. Hidden Figures is a movie about three African-American women, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson and many others, who were the engineers and mathematicians (and operators and programmers of the IBM 7090 mainframe computer) at NASA needed by NASA for the United States to get into space in the early 1960s. Take a look at this featurette about the times back then and how NASA aligned with civil rights too. Einstein’s true legacy is his ground-breaking discovery that simple, beautiful, and purely mathematical LOCAL SYMMETRY is Nature’s (the cosmos’s) primary feature. Understanding central properties of Local Symmetry can also help us to see why and how Local Symmetry underpins all, including TIME via the notion of CLOCKS and the ARROW OF TIME. This also highlights why understanding Nature’s core principle of Local Symmetry is so important for each human being – and hence humanity as a whole – with respect to building a positive future for all: people and planet. #alberteinstein #localsymmetry #physics #space #spacetime #time #clocks #arrowoftime #creativity #consciousness #intelligence #symmetry #energy #science #cosmos #mathematics #nature #balance #simplicity #elegance #harmony #humanity #code # design #plan WHY LOCAL SYMMETRY: “The perspectives offered by symmetry (…) It is imperative that we try to give the nonscientific members of society, who, through democratic processes, make the final decisions, a better understanding of the key issues. In fact, our future depends upon it.” Leon M. Lederman & Christopher T. Hill (Symmetry and the Beautiful Universe, 2004, pp.24-25) “It is of greatest importance that the general public be given an opportunity to experience—consciously and intelligently—the efforts and results of scientific research. (…) Restricting the body of knowledge to a small group deadens the philosophical spirit of a people and leads to spiritual poverty.” Albert Einstein (From the foreword of September 10, 1948, to Lincoln Barnett’s The Universe and Dr. Einstein; 2nd rev. ed. New York: Bantam, 1957) “…local symmetry dictates what you must do, every step of the way.” Frank Wilczek (The Lightness of Being, 2010, p.72) “Based on our experiences so far, we have reason to be confident that nature is the realization of the simplest conceivable mathematical concept.” Albert Einstein (On the Method of Theoretical Physics, 10 June 1933, Author translation) https://lnkd.in/ei9a96ZE
