In this case study, I explore the story of the founder of Sonimpex Topoloveni, who publicly denounced the delisting of the Topoloveni jam by Metro Cash & Carry. What started as a simple misunderstanding between two business partners evolved into a political controversy regarding modifying the legislative framework. The Minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu, announced that he is working on an ordinance offering preferential treatment to Romanian supermarket products. He also wants to limit the commercial addition practiced by retailers to domestic products, including the addition of Topoloveni jam. In the context of these events, the question is: Did the founder of Sonimpex Topoloveni anticipate the consequences of her public action? Another great message to adopt and one employers/managers alike can adapt to any upcoming long weekends or holidays (like last weekend's Eid-holidays and our upcoming summer leave). It translates as follows: "Remember: have mercy with yourself, you do not need to finish the world before Midsummer. Have a wonderful start to your week!" We do not need to get everything done and work our hats off just before the holidays. It is mission impossible. Focus on what is most important. The world will not burn while you enjoy an extra day off or go on a well-deserved summemr break. Otherwise, instead of enjoying your long weekend, you'll spend your time recovering from exhaustion.
