I will be hosting a series of maker dinners for Product Hunt in SF, specifically for technical founders to meet each other and have some community and deeper conversation in a small group format than you can get at a typical meetup or on Twitter. The only requirements are that you're a full time hands on technical founder or maker, and that you like good food. We want people who are ready to go deep on both technical topics and the human side of what it's like to make something new in the world. The first one is on March 6, and has the theme of AI-assisted development. If you or anyone you know is a technical founder either working on a product like that, or just heavily leaning on AI tech to do your work, please get in touch! These will be at least monthly going forward, so even if we fill up, or you don't feel like this month's theme is a good match, please reach out anyway and maybe we can get you into one in the future. You can DM me here, or just grab some time on my calendar here: https://lnkd.in/g4GmhtRS. Please include a brief intro, your Product Hunt launch page, and LinkedIn URL.

Today's DocsAutomator's 1st anniversary! 🎊 🎂 Wrote down my key learnings from the first year of scaling to 2000 users, 150 subscribers, a few thousand $s MRR and steady 10-20% MoM growth. I hope it helps someone who's starting out or is on a similar journey in general. Find the full post here: https://lnkd.in/e_GsTzcy

CEO of StackState | Give engineers the powers to remediate application issues independently in production.
I've been at StackState for 2.5 years, and I still find new features in our product. Ovidiu Boc wrote a great piece on navigating StackState quickly. In this latest blog you will learn essential keyboard shortcuts, master topology navigation, and discover tips to speed through the application. From quick views to detailed insights, streamline your troubleshooting and make the most out of StackState’s features. Whether you prefer CLI, shortcuts, or UI navigation, this guide has you covered. I'm more of a UI-clicking person myself. Check the full blog post in the comments.

This company may never have existed. This is how CommandBar reached 𝟐𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬 ↓ Some stories happened with a little coincidence... This is one of them! Before CommandBar, James started an entirely different project. > A code review platform for teachers But this business had a problem: It was a VERY incoherent product ❌ One day, James & his cofounders built a feature to simplify the navigation. >> A command palette ("cmd-k") It was SO GOOD he thought "Why doesn't everyone have it" They decided to pivot and to go full steam on this new idea 🚂 💨 3 years later, CommandBar is used by 25M users 💥 I flew over to San Francisco to ask James: - How he started - How he turned a gimmicky feature into a flourishing company - How they went from $0 to $1M in revenue in 18 months In this video James shares everything: 1. The Superhuman hack he used to get his first users 2. The strategies to grow to millions in ARR 3. How he went from failed category creation → re-inventing an existing one This is the crazy story of CommandBar 💜 Full video: https://lnkd.in/e2kZX2Xh

Bloody hell it's cold out today 🥶 Exciting news! Just released the latest episode from my series 'Evo Inspires' with Sam Jarman - Principal Software Engineer / Manager at Cochlear. It's a good little watch, perfect to enjoy while you warm up with your morning coffee. Check it out now! #EvoInspires #NewEpisode #MorningCoffee ☕📺 My favorite quote in this series by far - "it's like being pelted with one or two dollar coins, if you pick them up they're actually worth something" Key takeaways: - Be honest and authentic. If you don't know something, it's okay to ask for help. - Working with the Gordon Ramsey of code made him a better coder. Suffocating the BS and not sugarcoating things will make you better in the long run! - Challenges and setbacks are a part of the job in software development. It's frustrating to not know the answer to a problem in the moment but they don't often last that long. Keep going!

If you're a founder, product leader or otherwise looking to solve meaningful pain points, I suggest taking a look at Nick Barr's new product-market fit offering! This is the first time I see a guided framework focused on navigating the daunting task of finding PMF - very exciting.
Phew! 45 free product sessions later, I know *so* much more about where early stage founders and product leaders need help. The common theme is that budgets are tight and people are looking to get more with less. They're leaning more on resources like ChatGPT and Reforge, which is great, except that artifacts and templates and even courses only go so far in helping you develop your own product and strategic intuitions. I'll be piloting a few mini-services to address this gap. The first is The Product-Market Fit Intensive, a half-day jam session that will help you walk away with a 6-month plan for finding PMF and unlocking momentum for your work. Many founders told me they're unsure how to operationalize the search for product-market fit. It's not that they don't have great ideas – they just need help navigating their possibility space in a way that helps them learn fast and stay focused. If this sounds like you or someone you love, I can help! You can apply for the pilot, which has been lovingly discounted, here: https://lnkd.in/ebnzJ6Nt
