No one will get hurt if you don't wear your best red but if you want to look your best, this post is for you… Red is on fire this year (excuse the pun). It's the colour of the season and you'll find a lot of advice about your best shade. But let's flip that on its head today and talk about the shades you should avoid. Lights: heavy reds will drag you down and make you look tired. Deeps: this is a difficult one as red looks amazing on you, but if you to choose a softer, lighter shade, it could make you look washed out. Warms: avoid reds that have blue undertones (anything with berry in the name eg. raspberry). Watch those grey-blue shadows that they will cast across your face. Cools: orangey-reds will play havoc with your skintone. No one wants to look sallow! Clears: softer reds whilst not dreadful, won't bring out the best in your eyes. In a world whereby everyone is chasing everything everytime, being comfortable in your own skin can be the ultimate elegance. Over the years I found myself paying attention to the smallest details when it comes to dressing, little by little it grew to become a part of me that I naturally flow with it. By just a look or even in my sleep I can te you what can match with what. Fashion comes and goes but your style is inbuilt it lies within you all you need to do is to search deep and be intentional. February being a month of love I challenge you to pay attention to yourself and how you dress and address yourself. Oh yes, have done it countless times, because I came to realize there is no road map to style it's about your self expression and your attitude.
