Here is some steps that you can do already now to make your experience of coming back from vacation smoothly. 1️⃣ Plan time to read messages ahead: Already now block time in your first day after vacation to go though all emails and Teams messages. 2️⃣ Plan your first days: Prioritize tasks and set a clear agenda to tackle high-priority items first. 3️⃣ Re-establish Routines: Resume your regular work schedule and habits to regain productivity. 4️⃣ Reconnect with Colleagues: Book some fika. To celebrate my summer vacation starting today I thought I’d share a small tip with my network: Please stop advertising that you constantly work extra in the evenings and on the weekends. I keep running into this more and more, especially if I’m the customer. And the people are not referring to any 24/7 service desk but to themselves personally. I know it’s supposed to give me a feeling of good customer service but it actually does the opposite. It makes me wonder how healthy your business is and how well it is organized. Plus it makes me worry about your personal health. This might be an unpopular opinion in a world where it’s fashionable to be available and to mix your working time with your free time. And everyone who has ever had a white-collar job knows that some flexibility is required. But it’s one thing to be flexible and another to work around the clock and keep promoting it. Think about it this way: If you need to do extra to get the same results that your competitors get during office hours then you are just simply doing something wrong. You can’t compete just by working harder. You also need to work smarter. Have a nice summer 😎 🏖

7 Things To Declutter Before Summer Vacation

Im about to reach to last days of this years summer vacation. 2024 have been busy, but also both fun and learning full, the feeling of satisfaction that I have, should certainly also be with all the great people working with me! Exactly those people brings a smile to my face, I am surrounded by very talented and dedicated people, all with a huge drive for making sure business gets what it needs for the future growth, and they have demonstrated exactly that in an impressive way – so, when I some days ago, driving by the Disney sign, here in Orlando, telling me that I was about to enter the happiest place in the world, I started to reflect on what makes me happy, and even that Disney claims happiness is related to a location, I need to say it is, to me far more related to those who are around you. I can say that with a strong confidence after being on a road trip for our family vacation this year, driving more than 3000km together, seeing many hotels, museums and so on, my joy and happiness still comes back to be driven by being with my closed ones. The above perspective makes me look forward to return to work next week, to continue the journey, being with not only very skilled people but also dedicated and ambitious. Even that we all are busy, and have huge deliveries to full-fill, we also have a very strong spirit, which for me is my “happy place”, providing space for further learning, and development, which all will bring value to our business and patients. Talking about development, one personal achievement has been earning INEADS’ Certificate in Global Management as well as an International Management Certificate, this obtained from Scandinavian business institute, both certificates are related, as some of the various courses taken, has been in collaboration, across INSEAD Executive Education and Scandinavian Executive Institute These certificates not only tells that I have been on a formal longer learning journey, they also sums up the broader meaning being a leader in a global world: provided me with valuable insights, based on research, and in addition: I have meet inspiring people, all whom like me, believes in the power of combining theory with what we all had to bring in to the class room from our respective roles in business, and with that being lifted to full-fill our roles and responsibilities going further, in attempts to create continued success in our respective business.
