Special thanks to the team at Global Mass Transit for the chance to participate at the Clean Buses East Conference that was held in Washington, D.C this week. A very diverse group of attendees from across all areas of the EV spectrum was indicative of the rapid growth we are seeing.

Commerce is part of an Inter-Agency Electric Vehicle Coordinating Council (EV Council) and I had the opportunity to lead a panel discussion with representatives of automakers and dealerships at this month's Council meeting. 🚗 ⚡ When it comes to EVs, having conversations with both policymakers and industry leaders at the table are important in understanding some of the barriers to EV adoption, including consumer preferences on size and range, vehicle cost, and EV education. We need to know what we can do at the state level to help propel EV trends toward - more vehicle variety 🚘 - affordable model options 💲 - EV education and awareness ⚡ The pressure to decarbonize the highest emitting sector in WA is urgent, and these conversations are one way to understand and addressing the issues head on. 🌎

Dear Frank Daly, do not be worried about it. You know the saying: "the neighbours gras is always greener ..." ? However, you took a specificly positive example in German transportation at the Munich train station with 36 platforms they have to work with. Take a train station more in the province and you only have one platform for leaving and entering the train, too. And keep in mind that since in the 1970s Germany decided to copy the US American way of life with individual transportation in cars and logistic systems putting lorries on the streets, the goverments reduced the train network constantly. That is why we are suffering from an overload of passengers, several trains not arriving on schedule. The German Bahn has to repair the same routes, they have to use for transportation at the same time. Read this article and you will like Ireland even more, as you only have five of six big cities suffering from overcrowded trains but a wide land. https://lnkd.in/dGmZn9ud
When you spend some time on the continent in countries like Germany, you can’t stop thinking how hopelessly inadequate our public transport system is in comparison. Then you see something like this in Munich … two platforms per train in the busier stations, one for entering the train and the other for exiting. No bustling at the one door. It’s enough to make you angry with envy!

What exactly are zero-emission zones?🚫💨 Zero-emission zones are designated small areas of about 1.5 square miles to 11 square miles inside large cities where only zero-emission vehicles, pedestrians and bikes are granted unrestricted access, with gas and diesel vehicles either prohibited or forced to pay an access fee. 📋A new WRI report shows only about a dozen cities around the world have officially implemented or announced formal proposals to pilot Zero-emission zones: https://bit.ly/3UlIW8P
