Last week, Keystone welcomed Brenna Wynn Greer, Ph.D. for a special virtual learning session in observance of Juneteenth. As our president Jeff Marowits put it, “Juneteenth is a sacred day in America’s journey to form a “more perfect union.” As is our custom, we aim to retell the story of Juneteenth for both those who know that story and those that do not.” Dr. Greer, author of “Represented: The Black Imagemakers Who Reimagined African American Citizenship” and associate professor of history at Wellesley College, offered her perspective on the history and significance of Juneteenth. Last week, Keystone’s Nitika Bagaria and Arzu Mammadova presciently published a column in Competition Policy International predicting how the European Union might enforce compliance with the Digital Markets Act, assessing trade-offs in enforcing equal access to platform features and protecting users’ privacy and security. Days later, the EU informed Apple that in its preliminary view, the tech giant’s app store rules hinder developers from pointing consumers toward alternative avenues of buying products and content. Day 4: San Francisco marks the penultimate stop on our muti-city “One Keystone” tour to recap our annual company-wide virtual meeting. The Bay Area team’s activities were rooted in growth (puns very much intended).
