Interesting insights. I think that many successful campaigns still leverage traditional influencers with broad appeal, especially in sectors where relatability and authenticity are key. Not all campaigns require highly specialized influencers, and the authenticity and connection that influencers build with their followers can be powerful regardless of their niche. Moreover, the influencer landscape is diverse, and different platforms cater to different demographics. Some campaigns may find success with influencers who have a general appeal and a large following, while others may benefit from the expertise and niche focus of specialized influencers.

OOOOH, I ❤️ the juicy end of year #2024trends hot takes. 1) Influencer marketing DEAD? In its current form, it is not that far fetched - especially when we see the move towards less direct hard sells is already happening. 🌶🌶🌶 2) Instagram 100% gone? The idea of it becoming a relationship building tool is a creative pivot but not likely given that most businesses aren't as progressive enough there to make it that dynamic of an engaging mechanism. I totally believe that reach is a challenge though, but IG Reels offers a path to help vs. straight newsfeed woes. 🌶🌶 3) Large followings will not matter. PREACH. It's about niche and fit. We have to stop equating SIZE to value. 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 4) Storytelling from brands will play an increased part of content. It is still shocking that this is a "DUH" but like point 1, stop selling products and start piquing curiosity. And a good reminder from my pal Jameson LaMarca - know that some stories are better than others.
