Aweome event to meet amazing women from all over the Boston area.

It’s never a bad idea to network with women outside of your own company to get new ideas, fresh perspective, and a jolt of confidence.

This #simonsinek quote resonated for me as I listened to my daughter and her swim team friends talk and bake a cake in anticipation of the release of #taylorswift Speak Now. Any conversations that went to blame or shame or self-doubt or belittling went quickly in a different direction. As in growth. Do leaders play a pivotal role in shaping culture? Absolutely. Does that absolve everyone else? Absolutely not. There were no coaches, no executives, no teachers at our kitchen island. Just teammates who want the best for each other. A space where teammates wanted to lift up and strengthen each other. We can all do that. But I am curious, what do you think gets in the way?

I am proud of all the winners because of the significant impact they’ve had to our business. And I am beyond proud of Liying Wang, Ben Allen, CPCU, Todd Cormier and Julia Yashiro for their #oneteam approach - each bringing their experience, expertise, perspective, and willingness to disagree to drive progress and continuous improvement throughout their project. Glad to know you and glad to work with you.

Spent the day with this incredible group talking about mission, priorities, culture - and having a lot of fun. One particularly meaningful conversation to me was around this year’s #internationalwomensday2023 theme of #embraceequity. We talked about the difference between “equality” and “equity” and why equal opportunities aren't enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable - not equal - action #diversityequityandinclusion

I saw this today and it was great reminder that women can be such powerful allies for each other - if we create the space for it through our mindsets and behaviors #allies #diversityequityandinclusion #womenempoweringwomen
