Last week I attended Prolific North's Northern Marketing Festival event at the Vue Cinema in Leeds Some great sessions around Market Research, Event best practice but most memorably Danny Blackburn representing KINESSO to talk all things Search Few key takeaways; - The change in search will be profound and will be unrecognisable in just a few years - Search engines will drive fewer clicks pushing up cost of click - Emerging tech will disrupt Google; in fact the new technology is probably being worked on in a dorm or garage right now - Algorithm automation will make competitive advantage harder - Bigger brands will become more dominant making it harder to compete But my favourite line; "Every user searching is someone putting their hand up to ask for help" Which I thought was a really nice way of framing it Fancy at chat with a person, rather than just using a search engine to find information?
