The 2024 GiPA Italian Channel Plenary, held in Milan on July 11th, provided an opportunity to focus on three main topics: - Professional universe evolution and potential entries per workshop - Aftermarket turnover - Features of Italian repairers and their segmentation into Pioneer, Dynamic, and Static workshops One key takeaway from the survey is the growing interest in training employees on new engine types. In particular, the Italian automotive aftermarket channels are struggling with three interconnected issues: 1. the difficulty in finding employees and repairers (39% of workshops report challenges in finding skilled repairers); 2. the introduction of new vehicle technologies; 3. the subsequent challenge in training existing employees on these new technologies. How can the automotive aftermarket overcome the lack of qualified employees and repairers? And, how does this impact the general market trend in the country? GiPA Italia remains at the disposal of its members, supporting them in finding solutions to face these new challenges.
