We had a great time volunteering with the Care 'n Share Toy Drive at the San Diego County Fair. We collected toys that will be donated to sick children throughout the county. What a beautiful cause, and so much fun, too! #ToyDrive #CommunitySupport

Decluttering your home should not be a one-person job. It's time we get the kids involved in downsizing some extra stuffies and making it fun to keep a clean and organized space. We have tons of tips on making tidying up easy for kids. Part of our mission is to know no waste and donate unwanted or unneeded items to local non-profits, ensuring all items go to a deserving home. Did you know that most canine police units accept donations for their brave dogs who have experienced a traumatic event? Pro tip: make a monthly or annual trip to your local police station and let the kids see that their stuffed animals are going to dogs who are scared and need a new buddy. This week on the blog, we talk about how you can get your kids involved with staying organized and encouraging them to let go of unneeded toys in a fun and exciting donation process. https://lnkd.in/eVhCnHYW

This video speaks volumes about who we are here at US Aggregates!!
Every year, winter coats, gloves, hats and more decorate our warming trees at our Monon/Francesville plants. Started by our very own plant clerk Kim Payne nearly a decade ago, we partner with fellow members of our local communities such as churches, schools and service organizations to help keep families safe and warm during the cold winter months. Thank you to each individual that was able to donate! Here are just a few of the incredible businesses that generously donated to supply our community with winter clothing. Executive Director and Cofounder of Spreading Threads Clothing Bank at Spreading Threads Clothing Bank
Learn about the story behind our Spreading Threads Clothing Bank logo. It may surprise you!
Did you know that the Spreading Threads Clothing Bank's logo was designed and created by a foster child? 12-year-old, Dagny Phillips, the adoptive daughter of Spreading Threads Clothing Bank's Vice President, Anna Phillips, was approached by the founders to create a logo that reflected what mattered to the organization. With hangers, a thread spool, and hearts, Dagny created a logo that supported Spreading Threads' mission of fostering dignity and growth within Southern Arizona's foster community. Community service is a reflection of our shared responsibility towards the well-being and prosperity of the neighborhoods we call home. It's a selfless act that transcends personal interests, aiming to uplift the collective spirit of our community. When individuals come together, remarkable things happen. Through community service, we forge connections, break down barriers, and build bridges of understanding. It's a reminder that we are all part of something greater than ourselves. Every gesture, no matter how small, contributes to the greater good. Whether it's lending a helping hand to a neighbor, participating in a local clean-up, or supporting a charitable cause, each act of service ripples through our community, leaving a legacy of positive change. There's a unique sense of fulfillment that comes from knowing that i made a difference in someone's life, not only by designing the flyer for this program organized by my fellowship RCF LASU Epe but also participate in it. The smiles, the gratitude, and the sense of camaraderie are the true rewards of community service. Let's continue to be the change we wish to see in our community and beyond! #CommunityService #MakingADifference #UnityInAction #GivingBack #MCNfellow 2 / 2

Local toy drives have a special place in our hearts because they directly impact the lives of children in our very own community. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference to a child who may otherwise go without a gift during the holidays. By donating to local drives, you're not only spreading joy but also fostering a sense of togetherness and compassion. Where can you donate? Big Brothers and Big Sisters of RI: This local organization collects clothing and soft fabrics for children in need and distributes them to families within the community. You can donate to their bins at the VFW as well as the Cup Defenders on Wood St. Bristol Police Department: They often host a holiday toy drive, and donations can be dropped off at their headquarters. Local Churches: Many churches in Bristol actively participate in toy drives during the holiday season. Check with your local parish to see if they have a collection. Schools and Community Centers: Keep an eye out for toy collection bins at your local schools or community centers. If we can become aware of others and what the community is hosting this holiday season, one purchase, one drive, one thought can directly impact someone else this holiday season for the better. This is your Daily Dose of the day! #MondayMotivation #Donations #HolidaySeason #BristolRI #RhodeIsland #DailyDoseofBristolRI
