PDF The Glass Transition: Relaxation Dynamics in Liquids and Disordered Materials Prof. Ernst-Joachim Donth (auth.) digsell https://lnkd.in/etutTxdc This is the first book dedicated to the glass transition since this concept became recognized as a distinct and independent field of investigation. The glass transition is a synonym for relaxation and dynamics in complex disordered systems, especially in liquids. It embraces time-scales ranging from picoseconds to years. The book describes and interrelates the following processes: cooperative alpha processes in a cold liquid, structural relaxation in the glass near Tg, the Johari-Goldstein beta process, the Williams-Götze process in a warm liquid, fast nonactivated cage rattling and boson peak, and ultraslow Fischer modes. By describing the salient facts, explaining and discussing … Read More » https://lnkd.in/eDBcQbwf

Elsevier book chapter - (Book: Electric and Electronic Applications of Metal Oxides) We would like to invite you to contribute one chapter, if it is possible. Please select one chapter from the tentative "Table of contents" given below. 1. FET based on 1D structures (ZnO, InO2, SnO2, TiO2) 2. Metal oxide-based Mott-transition field-effect transistor (MTFET) 3. Varistors for metal oxide 4. Metal Oxide in Microelectronic technology(capsulation, diffusion, mask, Al2O3)) 5. Electronic devices based on superconductive metal oxides 6. Metal oxide resistors (SnO2, Fe2O3, TiO2 CoO, ZnO, NiO, CuO) A book chapter should have about 20-30 pages (250 words per page or up to 8,000 words total; typewritten, double-spaced). There is no charge to contribute to this book. Contributors will get one E-copy of the book free of cost. If interested in contributing, please reach out to my email: [email protected], Mob: 7894752357 We look forward to working with you on this important project. Have a nice day! --

Un-Hiching Topology One interesting facet I found - by experiment - was that an arrangement of 3-hitched-loops - over a Moebius Strip - can - Un-Hitch -by passing from one side through the Central Loop - a number of times. - The Caveat is that the Moebius Band provides space to distribute the Stored Energy in the Loops to Unravel and Eject the central Loop that appears locked in via the hitches over the Moebius Band. - N.B. The Dimensions and Cross-section of the Elastic Bands should be uniform to store the energy at scale over the test Moebius strip. in theory it would pass sucessively over a chain of 3+N Hitches in successive stages. A curiosity that I found in recent years using packaging material.
