Today marks two years with BT Local Business - Birmingham to Hereford, and what a journey it has been. If you had told me two years ago that this is where I would end up, I’m not sure I would have believed you. When I first joined, I thought I would be focusing on social media, maybe making some TikToks, and honestly, I expected an easy ride. Little did I know what marketing truly entailed haha! But I’m not complaining. The fast-paced nature of my work has kept me constantly busy, whether it’s organizing events or connecting with new people. It hasn’t been what I expected at all, but it’s exactly what I needed. Staying busy has been incredibly healthy for me, both personally and professionally. I’ve learned to juggle the small details with the bigger picture, made friends across the country, and achieved some significant milestones along the way. I’ve also discovered new capabilities in myself. As someone who always saw themselves as a C-grade student, earning a Distinction in Social Media was a moment of pride unlike anything I’d experienced in my time in education before. That success sparked a new passion for learning, which led me to dive into IT—taking apart laptops, coding, and more. It’s been an immensely rewarding experience. I owe a lot of my growth to the incredible support from my colleagues at BT Local Business - Birmingham to Hereford, as well as from external peers at BT Business I've grown so much over the past two years, and I’m excited to see where the next years will take me. Here’s to continued growth!

Recently I have achieved a childhood dream of mine Way back in 2004, Playstation 2 hooked up to a screen with a back that was bigger than the table it was on. A 6 year old child was being told "you'll get square eyes sitting that close to the TV". Of course, the child would listen, sit back and enjoy the game he was playing - Need for Speed Underground 2, for those who don't know - it is all about cars and nightlife racing. The 6 year old would always tell his mom "I will get this car and it'll be red and have a spoiler and..." etc etc. It was the young lad's dream to achieve a Mitsibushi Evo. 4 years later and the Evo X came out - an improvement to the Evo IIX that was on the game. A new love was created and a dream improved. After lot of hard work, different education sectors conquered. The young boy who would then be 25 would get his dream achieved. Ofcourse I am talking about myself here, just a few weeks ago I got my dream car, if only younger me could see me know. This is what happens when you set a goal and make it happen. Everyone throughout my life has known that I have always wanted this car and now I couldn't be more happy. So my message here is - wish your dreams, work hard, and achieve those dreams. It is all possible if you do the leg work behind it! #dreams #acheive #goals

Celebrate My Apprenticeship by Taking a Break? 🤔 NOPE! 🙅♂️ Instead, I've decided to dive into another apprenticeship - Digital Technician Apprenticeship - so that I can become a strong, well-capable individual skilled in not only Social Media but in Digital Technology! I've taken on new roles, and as I mentioned before in other posts, I've been assisting customers with their Cloud Works and portals. Just yesterday, I spent the entire day maximizing customers' utilization of the fantastic VoIP system they've acquired! Do I enjoy helping people with all of their technical jargon? YES! Like 100x YES The reason I got into social media was to connect with people online and help them strive for excellence. Now, I'm helping others understand what excellence looks like and how to achieve it themselves—whether over Teams, in person, or even just over the phone. So, the logical step was to get qualified, to further enhance my abilities and help even more effectively. Hopefully, I can smash this course in a lot less time though 😂 #apprenticeship #IT #socialmedia

People of LinkedIn - I need your help! 😱 In a less superhero/damsel in distress manner, all I am after is suggestions for Headphones. Within our office, we are after some new headphones that don't pick up the audio of those around the speaker. I need suggestions from what people who work in busy environments who could swear on their lives (okay maybe not that dramatic) that the headphones they use are the best of the best. The main things I am looking for is - microphone noise cancellation 🎙 - Doesn't cost me an arm or a leg - preferable (but doesn't need to be) wireless So if anyone could suggest one would be a life saver!
