It's 2024, and the importance of having a well-developed sense of critical thinking and evaluation has never been more crucial. In a world where misinformation is rampant, it is vital to approach everything you see, hear, read, and interact with through any means with a healthy dose of scepticism. Any message that urges immediate action, such as "Quick, do this now..." should be met with caution and higher critical analysis. For instance, as the linked article highlights, advancements in #AI and #genAI technologies are significantly increasing the risks in this high-stakes game we are currently navigating. #cybersecurity

Was great sitting down with Brent Thurrell, CRO of BeyondTrust, a $500M+ ARR powerhouse. About 5 years ago they unified 4 different companies. Brent said it’s easy to think of a merger as the coming together of technologies but he, his then CEO, exec team, and Francisco Partners - all prioritized the coming together of “hearts and minds” first, making sure their people believed in the mission, the new vision of the future and what’s in it for them. That people first approach was needed because the first 12 months were not easy. They stayed focused and then they took off. And right when his career was taking off too - he shares a personal story of how he needed to take some personal time away and was fully supported by his senior leadership.
