#healthandwellbeing Meet Moline who is among 152 (109F; 43M) people that were reached through 17 Self Help Groups formed in wards 1 and 2 of the Nyanga district in 2022. Through the Tearfund Netherlands/Tearfund Zimbabwe-funded Self Help Groups program, FACT Zimbabwe seeks to improve income generation and implement livelihood initiatives that improve food security for households in Buhera, Nyanga, and Chimanimani. With your support, his team was able to change her life by providing her with a bed. In our ongoing efforts to reach remote communities like Pokot, Kenya, where poverty conditions are severe and widespread, we've encountered heartbreaking situations where children and mothers suffer greatly due to the lack of clean water. Many families with limited access to basic amenities live in makeshift shelters, such as mud huts. Economic opportunities are scarce, and residents often struggle to meet their daily needs. However, the need for clean water remains urgent in these impoverished communities. 💧 That's why we're working tirelessly to bring clean water to Pokot. The team is actively planning to construct a 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫-𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, delivering water from a mountain spring directly to the heart of the village. This initiative has the power to transform lives and will impact thousands of residents. Rebuild A Home Rebuild A Life "For every 5 people in the world one is without a home... impacting a family for generations ain't no easy task. What is important to know is that proper housing impacts every aspect of life; improving health, advancing education, reducing crimes against women and children and strengthening community" Rebuild a home, Rebuild a life project was born after many deliberations on how best we can change a life by lifting them out of poverty. We have seen first hand the effects of poverty on children and entire family. There can be no greater gift than to share with someone what we have and what we know. Especially if the person has no hope of receiving it on their own. A house that replaces a shack transforms a family’s opportunities. They now have a place to generate an income, educate their children, and feel secure. With security comes improved health, especially for their children and safety against being exposed. Join us in this mission in as we help more vulnerable families living in extreme poverty build their lives out of poverty. You and I can do it together.. it's very simple. For each home we need a doner / Sponsor to come on board to cover the cost of a home as its a stand alone project we only proceed once funds are in place . We have a new house designs in place which will help us reduce building costs on 2022 making it more feasible gor gold yo come on board this tear 2023 All homes going forward will be build with stone 2 bedrooms , living room come kitchen plus a pit lantern (Toilet) and wash room.build separately. As well we are helping them furnish , solar etc there new Home but there is a seperate budget for this that will be needed to be Sponsored also .And will work with family on how best to help them exit extreme poverty with a simple sustainable project that suits them.. Can we just start making sense out of non-sense! It doesn't make sense to me that we have so many people homeless - sleeping rough when we have so many empty, vacant buildings in various shapes and sizes. It doesn't make sense to me than in times of natural disasters we can mobilise immediate shelter to support people impacted. Yet for the 1000's of people impacted by homelessness in this national disaster, with 100's of people dying - we cannot do the same, it just doesn't make sense. We need our governments to start making sense - please!
