This year, KQED is celebrating 70 years of service! We hit the radio waves in 1954, but on this day in 1955, something special happened: we held our very first fundraising auction.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈 Each June, #PrideMonth recognizes the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally. It's a time to celebrate the triumphs of the community, memorialize those who were lost to hate crimes or HIV/AIDS and much more. We asked KQED staff what Pride Month means to them. It's AAPI Heritage Month, a time to celebrate and reflect on the the roles that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders have played in our history.
