Today #FBCG celebrates a momentous occasion - 30 years in practice to multigenerational family firms all around the world. We are blessed to be together at our quarterly meeting, with our own families, reflecting on all of the successes and challenges that have come with building this amazing enterprise. We remain grateful for the trust and collaboration from all of the 3,000+ families we've served, and I remain grateful for the vision of our early founders and the commitment of all of my colleagues who continue to make this a wonderful place to make a difference. Last week, the FBCG management team came together to reflect on success and plan for an exciting year ahead. The team spent a lot of time on "shout outs," expressing gratitude for help and support from their colleagues and recognizing others' great work. Usually we take photos - this time perhaps we were fully present because I needed to find the image below to capture some of my reflections from that meeting. In our work with families, some of the most inspiring stuff is watching family members grow in their relationships while they pursue shared success through their enterprise. This kind of magic comes from both purposeful teamwork and individual commitment to learning, contribution, and a cause bigger than any one person. There can be ups and downs, but when everyone is committed to succeeding together, a lot of storms can be weathered.
