𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮 𝟮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱? This Friday, Bundesliga 2 will kick off its 50th season with 1. FC Köln hosting Hamburger SV. For some, this feels like a Bundesliga match, one of many highlights this season, which will feature duels between fan favorites like Fortuna Düsseldorf, Schalke 04, and FC Kaiserslautern. Rumors suggest it might be the best Bundesliga 2 season ever. Again. Whatever that actually means. In terms of stadium attendance demand, this could be true, though, as Bundesliga 2 could surpass last year's spectator record of 8.8 million. This season, the 18 clubs can provide a total of 10.9 million seats, slightly more than last season. If utilization matches last year's level of about 83 percent, a new record is due next year. In fact, clubs could even afford to distribute slightly fewer tickets. However, there is no indication of such a potential decline in attendance demand. On the contrary, many clubs, including Greuther Fürth, Hertha BSC, and FC Magdeburg, have sold more season tickets than last year. Schalke 04 has already sold out all home matches in the first round. Additionally, Fortuna Düsseldorf’s 'Fortuna Für Alle' campaign will offer free tickets for four matches next season. Time to create new highlights with the kickoff of the Bundesliga starting in two days. I am extremely excited to see Borussia Dortmund under our new head coach and with our new players, kicking off with the highlight match on Saturday evening. And as always, the Signal Iduna Park will be sold out. According to Statista, the average attendance per game in the Bundesliga is 39,490. For every home game in Dortmund, BVB has more than twice as many spectators as the Bundesliga average. This Bundesliga average is also the highest in Europe, which shows the outstanding position of the German league in European football. In a European comparison, the Bundesliga leads the rankings in average attendance, setting itself apart from leagues like the Premier League, La Liga, or Serie A. The consistently high attendance at BVB home games not only highlights the club’s large fan base, but also underscores the significance of Borussia Dortmund as a driving force in the Bundesliga and European football overall. A special season is about to start for the club with the UEFA Champions League and the all new FIFA Club World Cup in the USA next summer. One to watch: Reports BVB U19 super striker Paris Brunner suspended and 'risks permanent exclusion': Paris Brunner is a striker talent at U19 level who should be on any big club's radar. It can only be hoped that BVB and Paris Brunner find a way forward, this is the first reported disciplinary issue, and he has long been marked up to join the first team, but this news is unsettling for the young striker. German-Congo DRC nationality, selected at U16-U18 level for Germany, Brunner has made 18 appearances for the U17 DFB team, scoring an exceptional 15 goals in the process. Brunner, who won the UEFA U17 European Championship with Germany this summer, has scored 44 goals in 50 games at youth level for Borussia's U17, U19 level, including 5 in the game against VFL Bochum and hattricks against 1 FC Cologne, and MSV Duisburg this season. In my view, Brunner has long been expected to be marked up for the first team at BVB. He is a player with an exceptional aptitude, he has exceptional ball control, pace, off the ball movement, strong technique, is agile and has great dribbling skills, and is an exceptional finisher with both feet with a great instinct in front of the goal. Football Talent Scout gave him a 9.5 out of 10 rating and compared his talent levels to an-inform Jadon Sancho.
