K-State Research and Extension’s Post

This #MediationMonday, we wanted to shared some achievements from the past year. Kansas Agricultural Mediation Services “KAMS” worked with and talked to more than 350 farmers, producers, and land-owners during the fiscal year 2023. More than 20 families participated in mediation with FSA, NRCS, ag lenders, family members or neighbors. Some of the mediations involved the following: - Producers worked with KAMS and mediation to resolve an adverse decision regarding the CFAP, EQIP contracts, and AGI excesses. - Farm families participated in ag credit counseling and transition planning. - One producer avoided an ag credit equipment foreclosure. - Farm producer family members mediated a division of farm assets after the death of a farmer/husband.
