UE5 MoGraph tools are such a cool addition

As a solo indie dev working on an Open World game, it is quite challenging managing all the things required for my game such as gameplay mechanics + story + 3D graphics + sounds + optimizations + porting + localizations + a billion more things.... 😥 So what is my strategy moving forward and how can you do this yourself? 🤔 1. Create a Roadmap - I have a perfectly laid out timeline for Sky Harvest that will ensure a timely execution of things! 2. Asset Store and Outsource - I suck at making art, there's no denying that. So I am taking all the help I can from the Asset Store and hiring contractual Artists from Fiver. 3. Focus on Core Mechanics First - There's no need to make a horse riding mechanic (although it sounds pretty cool) right now.. I am focusing on the very main aspects of the game and I will be adding these extra features later down the line.! Not all projects are finished, and not all games see the light of day.  You might consider them failures, but ask yourself-- would it be any more of a success if you tried to force it through, when you're losing so much more in opportunity cost? It would be awesome to see this project finished. Take a favorite game that has aged poorly, and remove the "aged poorly" part by remaking it using modern tech? Sounds amazing, I'm sold! I contributed to this Sonic Adventure fan project on and off for over 4 years. I learned and grew a lot during my tenure, and the code within the project really reflects that. However, the day came when I finally said "I don't have time to finish this"-- Not because I can't, but because my priorities have changed. That's life. 1) Made some cool stuff 2) Learned and grew Not a total failure, I'm proud to show off the pieces here. Heck, one of the biggest things I learned is how it can be exhausting working on a game at night after working on games all day... which is one of the main reasons I'm full-time indie right now.
