What is company culture? A lot of companies try to make it all about people hanging out in the company office playing ping pong or Guitar Hero. We don't and here's why: 1. We love the fact that our team is "tight" and loves spending time with each other. We do attend pub quizzes, we do have team buildings, we comment on football matches, we solve Advent of Code and taunt each other how we suck... But we don't want to pressure anyone into having to do that. 2. We don't want people to hang out in the office. If you want to play ping pong, go for it. But then actually complete the work and go in the park in front of the office and play ping pong! Nothing worse that hearing a Slack notification noise at 9:9 in the 7th set! 3. We don't create company culture by having people play Playstation games. We create it by: - respecting their responsibilities - respecting their knowledge - respecting their time - respecting their private life When all these are in place, then the team actually ends up loving spending time together and ping-pong tables aren't needed. #softwaredevelopment #companyculture

3 people - 2 days. We, the founding team of Fortis Studios, spent two days in a former manor house. But why? 🤔 As a team that most of the time is working remotely, we manage everyday tasks very well. 👨💻 However, strategic matters are much easier to discuss when we are together for a longer period of time: ⚫️ second thoughts on a topic can easily be taken up later ⚫️ body language often tells you more than what you can see on Google Meets ⚫️ you can get more work done faster ⚫️ it is more fun. We worked on fundamental things for our business model, clearly defined a product roadmap, addressed problems and challenges and placed values and visions at the center of our meeting. 🔮 We had two really productive days. A big compliment to my co-founders! 🎉
