I've been thinking a lot about the future of spatial design and AR with my latest project, World Skins. Using Gen AI, we can transform any space into a new dynamic environment - from Ancient Civilizations to Underwater Worlds. Today AR relies heavily on premade textures, meshes, and shaders. These methods offer little flexibility to adapt to our changing environments. But with World Skins, AI-driven image and audio generation can dynamically alter any scene in realtime for a more responsive and fluid approach to AR. There are many challenges with this approach: camera access on most AR HMDs is prohibited, inference takes too long to run in realtime, and we need an AI model that generates accurate stereo pairs... but overcoming these hurdles can open up a world of possibilities!
🎼 Can we have this for music and sound design? 🌟
This looks amazing, but I don't get it. Is this to suggest people would/could actually walk down their alleys or streets in this mode?
How about this kind of project https://www.behance.net/gallery/202272247/Vision-View-l-Vision-Pro-Concept
This is great. Awesome mindset and example of how to implement these technologies. I’ve imagined being about to do this with architectural models, laid over existing conditions. Would be a great tool for clients to visualize proposed layouts
I personally believe that XR is the one area where generative AI is a *must* for believable and vast virtual worlds ever to be realized.
Inspiring! Can't wait for the hardware to be truly mobile
So the demo enclosed is just a teaser mockup? The technology isn’t there, is it?
What about temporal blending issues?
Can anyone guide me on how can I learn more about this technique! What’s this technique called? Other than AR any specific term To look for?

4wdid you ever read Stanislaw Lems Futurological Congress? Same concept, different technology - the book does a good job ob capturing the confusion of people living side by side in different realities😅
