Using our splicing models we correctly predict TDP-43 (TARDBP) blocking cryptic-exon "inclusion" attributes in the frontotemporal dementia ALS gene UNC13A. Thus loss of TDP-43 (e.g. in ALS) favors cryptic exon inclusion. https://lnkd.in/dcDFfp7C #ALS #ai #ASO #splicing

A recent study has shown that TrueScience Collagen dramatically reduces the gene activity that keeps fibroblast cells in a heightened state of distress - self-destructive / ageing. When combined with Nrf2, you’re helping your fight-and-flight reflexes to reduce unnecessary signalling, so your body can recover from stress and restore optimal cellular and bodily function. The combination of Nrf2 and Collagen goes the extra mile: 1) It helps your body reduce signalling that it’s stressed. 2) It gives your immune system the tools it needs to avoid being hyperactive. 3) Your immune system reduces signals that cause unwanted unnecessary support. Tail Loss in Humans! According to an intriguing research article published in the prestigious journal NATURE on February 26, 2024, the loss of the tail in humans occurred approximately 25 million years ago as a result of a mutation in the TBXT gene caused by the insertion of an ALU element into an intron of the gene. Tail loss evolution may have been associated with an adaptive cost of the potential for neural tube defects, which continue to affect human health today.
