🛫 Did you know that there's a significant gap between the US FAR 121 and the Brazilian RBAC 121? According to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), one example of this gap is the absence of item 121.394 in the Brazilian regulation, which regulates the quantity of flight attendants required onboard a commercial airplane during boarding and disembarking. This gap can lead to misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Be mindful of this regulatory difference when traveling in Brazil. #aviationregulations #travel #airlinesafety

"Ever wondered why airlines meticulously check the weight of your luggage but not your own weight before boarding? 🤔 Human weight can vary significantly, yet it's rarely considered in flight planning. Most Airlines don't ask for weight of the passengers. How big is the factor of safety or cushion available in making flight plans without accounting for passenger weights? ✈️ I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Please share your insights and tag institutions or professionals who might shed light on this topic. #Airlines #FlightPlanning #PassengerWeight #SafetyFactors #AirTravel #iata (International Air Transport Association) #FAANews (Federal Aviation Administration) #AirlinesIndustryExperts #AviationSafetyInstitute #AeroEngineeringSociety

The Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation, also known simply as the Chicago Convention, is a pivotal treaty in the field of aviation. Adopted in 1944, it established the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and serves as the cornerstone of international air travel regulations. The convention covers various aspects of civil aviation, including airspace sovereignty, aircraft registration, flight safety, navigation procedures, and aviation security standards. It was one of the first conventions I worked on and remains a fundamental framework for global aviation operations to this day. #civilaviation #airlaw #spacelaw #convention #internationallaw #dubai

Safety should not compromise and in case of accident know how to safe the people
Todays accident in Tokyo serves as a powerful reminder that Cabin Crew are trained for much more than serving coffee and tea. In emergencies, like the one on Japan Airlines flight 516, their training kicks in – evacuating all 379 passengers and crew from the burning aircraft without any previous warnings. Cabin Crew are trained to evacuate all passengers in less than 90 seconds. It's crucial to acknowledge that flying remains incredibly safe, even surpassing the safety of driving. The airline industry continuously learns from incidents, implementing new procedures and processes to enhance safety. Let's take a moment to appreciate the dedication of all well-trained crew – both pilots and Cabin Crew – for taking their roles seriously and tirelessly working to keep the flying public safe. A special round of applause goes to the JAL516 crew for their admirable efforts today. Safe travels to all! ✈️ #AirlineSafety #CabinCrew #FlightSafety
