[Recognition Award: Ventus Power – January 9th 2024] Our team received funding from UPPC (Universitas Pertamina Proposal Competition) program in 2023 for the Technology Innovation Sector with the title "Diversifikasi Pemanfaatan Energi Angin Melalui Konsep Airborne Wind Energy Systems (AWEs) Sebagai Sumber Pembangkit Listrik Yang Ramah Lingkungan". With a long time working on the project from October to December 2023. After our project was completed, finally in January 2024, the product we developed was officially published with the validation of the product copyright registration letter. The Ventus Power prototype was designed with the concept of a wind power generator which has been widely developed, but the type used in Ventus Power is a vertical axis turbine consisting of 10 blades arranged in a helix. The material used as the turbine blade is designed to be as light as possible so that it can be hooked and carried by the kite. The generator circuit as a converter of mechanical motion into electricity is connected to a hook/thread. The hook thread has been modified by adding a spun copper cable, so that electricity can still flow even though the generator is far above the surface.

[Best Presenter of Entrepreneurship Sector in UPASC – December 5th 2023] Our team received funding from the Universitas Pertamina Business Incubation Program in 2023 for the Creative Industry Business Sector with the title "STYMAYS: Styrofoam from Zea Mays". With a long time working on the project from September – December 2023. And finally at the UPASC (Universitas Pertamina Annual Student Conference) event, our team received an award as the best presenter champion in the field of entrepreneurship. In addition, STAYMAYS (Styrofoam from Zea Mays) is an alternative food packaging with a biodegradable foam concept. Stymays is made from 100% corn stalks, the dominant fiber content in corn stalks is 38% - 50%, making this material an option in creating food packaging breakthroughs that are safer for health and of course can be decomposed quickly by nature.

[One Step Closer to Envengers 3.0 - December 3rd 2023] On December 3rd 2023, the One Step Closer to Envengers 3.0 event was held, and I served as the Project Leader. The name “One Step Closer to Envengers 3.0” was chosen to align with the event’s concept of bringing participants closer to the Environmental Engineering Program at Universitas Pertamina. The event featured a series of activities, including competitions: Poster Competition with the theme “From Awaraness to Action: Illustrated the Journey from Environmental Awareness to Tangible Action”. Videography Competition with the theme “Explored the Impact of Pollution on Environmental and Human Health While Showcasing Efforts to Combat It”. Essay Competition with the theme “Together to be An Agent Change in Addressed Environmental Issues to Create A Sustainable Living Environment”. The pinnacle of the event was a talk show with the theme “ANSWER: All You Need to Know About Green Engineers,” which was attended by high school students from across Indonesia.

[Committee of RESILIENCE 2023: The of 2nd International Conference on Nature-Based Solution in Climate Change – November 24th 2023] On November 24th 2023, international activities were carried out, namely RESILIENCE 2023: The of 2nd International Conference on Nature-Based Solution in Climate Change. Pertamina Foundation intends to organize an international conference to channel ideas and research on nature-based solutions in climate change by collaborating with Universitas Pertamina as a higher education institution that focuses on energy and technology. In this activity, I was one of the committee members, namely the Liaison Officer (LO). My role as one of the Liaison Officer (LO) is to act as a bridge between event participants and organizers, ensuring a smooth and satisfying experience for each individual. With strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, I am responsible for providing assistance, information and support to participants during the event. As well as ensuring that any participant questions or needs are handled quickly and efficiently. With dedication and responsibility, I help ensure each event runs successfully and provides a memorable experience for all involved.

[Reuni Keluarga EV – December 3rd 2023] On December 3rd 2023, the Family Reunion of EV took place. In this event, I served as the Event Division Coordinator. Family Reunion of EV embraced the theme, "The Unity: We Are Still One even Far Apart", signifying that through this reunion, students, alumni, and faculty members of the Environmental Engineering Program at Universitas Pertamina could foster and maintain strong relationships, continuing the bonds of camaraderie within our extended family. The event provided a platform for all members of the academic community to connect, share experiences, and reminisce about their educational journey at Universitas Pertamina. Additionally, it facilitated discussions aimed at enhancing collaboration among peers. During the discussion sessions, active students had the opportunity to pose questions related to both academic and professional aspects to the program's alumni. The Family Reunion of EV was a success, serving as a conduit for maintaining ties between the academic community of the Environmental Engineering Program at Universitas Pertamina and its alumni. It also doubled as a celebrating graduates of the Environmental Engineering Study Program at Universitas Pertamina for the 2023 period. 🎉🎓🌟

[Festival Visit: Solusi Polusi Udara Di Kota Jakarta – October 15th 2023] On October 15th 2023, I participated in the Mini Festival focused on Air Pollution Solutions in Jakarta. The event was organized by ITDP (The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy) Indonesia and took place at Martha C.Tiahahu Literacy Park. During the festival, several exciting activities were held, including interactive games and installations such as: Low Emission Zone (LEZ) Zone: Participants could determine the low emission zones in Jakarta. Parking Management Zone: Attendees had the opportunity to experience a day as the mayor, working to create an anti-traffic and anti-air pollution city. Livability Zone: This zone aimed to reclaim urban space in Jakarta. Additionally, there was a book discussion titled “Electrification of Public Transportation for the Future” and an Urban Transport Discussion #28:” Zona Rendah Emisi, Senjata Pamungkas Menurunkan Polusi”. One crucial insight I gained from the festival was that PM2.5 emissions from motor vehicles contribute significantly to air pollution in Jakarta, accounting for 46% of the total pollution. To address this issue, several solutions were proposed: Optimizing Public Transportation Services: Improving public transport services to encourage more people to use them. Modal Shift Strategies: Encouraging a shift from private vehicles to alternative modes of transportation. Implementing Low Emission Zones (LEZ): Restricting or banning motor vehicles based on their emission levels. Parking Reforms: Enforcing maximum parking policies. Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Standards: Designing urban spaces that promote walking, cycling, and easy access to public transportation.

[Open Studio Research Program On Sensors & Input for the Design of An Air Quality Detection Tool – September to December 2023] Starting from September until December 2023, I participated in the Open Studio Research Program on Sensors & Input for the Design of an Air Quality Detection Tool. Several sensor devices were utilized, including the NodeMCU ESP8266 as the microcontroller, the MQ-135 sensor, and the DHT-22 module. The microcontroller is a small computer packaged in an Integrated Circuit (IC) chip format, designed to perform specific tasks or operations. Essentially, a microcontroller IC consists of one or more CPU cores, memory (RAM and ROM), and input/output devices that can be programmed. One straightforward and cost-effective microcontroller commonly used is the Arduino UNO. The MQ-135 sensor is a chemical or gas sensor. Its resistance value (RS) changes when exposed to gases. The MQ-135 air quality sensor monitors various gases, including ammonia (NH3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), alcohol/ethanol (C2H5OH), benzene (C6H6), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and other smoke/gases in the air. The DHT22 is a digital relative humidity and temperature sensor. It utilizes a capacitor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air and outputs a signal on the data pin.
