The LAIKA Black ERG turned #Juneteenth into a week-long celebration, featuring food, hands-on learning opportunities, music, and community, while supporting local Black-owned businesses. The ERG’s theme for 2024 is Standing Together. As captured in this short video, last week highlighted the great work they’re doing here at the studio. #LifeAtLAIKA.
Between the buzz of Coachella's weekends, it's crucial to take a moment to recognize the influence of this event beyond the viral moments, mainly the impact on its local community. Last year, during my Master's, I delved into the nuances of this iconic festival with my research project: 'Income Disparity at Coachella Festival: Examining the Contrast in Wealth during the Festival Period'.
While my study illuminated the evident economic advantages of Coachella for the Indio community, including the boost of tourism and the increased sales for local vendors during those 2 weeks, it was equally important for me to shine a light on a crucial aspect often overlooked - the local farmworkers and surrounding low-income communities, whose stories often remain untold amidst the festival's social media glamour.
As Coachella continues to shape music culture and influence younger generations, it has the power to highlight the region's dynamics, complexities and difficulties. Let's continue the conversation involving Coachella during its second weekend, not just for the festival-goers, but for the communities that surround it.

"After dark, revelations and revolutions happen..."
This is a brilliant piece, perfectly outlining the importance of #music, and in particular dance floors, on shaping #culture, forming #communities, and promoting freedoms.
I'm hopeful that with every club or venue that closes its doors, other ones will spring up, driven by our human need for expression, identity and community.
I touched on some of this with a (quite long now, looking back) webinar I put together for Truant with some help from Rob Pawson a while back around the formation of subcultures, link in the comments if it's your thing.
Music has an incredible ability to touch hearts and souls, and when it comes to community choirs, this power amplifies manifold. The healing power of music finds its zenith in the harmony of voices joining as one. Community choirs create a nurturing space where people from diverse backgrounds come together, forging meaningful connections and fostering emotional well-being. ❤️
Let's explore five ways community choirs bring people together and heal their spirits through the magic of music. 😇

A Healf guide: Festival Season
Summer festivals are in full swing, and Glastonbury is just around the corner. Making your wellbeing a priority can feel like a chore but is incredibly worthwhile.
Festivals are powerful experiences for the MIND. Embrace the power of music, human connection and time spent with friends but if you're looking at what to pack to feel on top of your game, here's how.

The price for average is not much: just do a little and that is over, not for excellent, outstanding results.
In my little years of experience as organisation development consultant, I have widely consulted and worked very closely with over 100 CEOs.
I noticed similar DNA in all successful corporations or CEOs. They are indeed radical, passionate, incurable, mad at their vision, devoted, dedicated, hungry and always full and fill with curiosity.
Until you are burning with incurable passion, readiness, disciplined to succeed, you will no go where, you will fade away in no time.
Success is for those who are ready to pay it's price, not for jokers and playboy.
You are either pushing something, or something is pushing you: the results would show.
No pains, no gains.
