I've often heard presidents joke about how winning the lottery might be a solution to their institution's problems. But it was a joke. Not for Ioannis (Yannis) Miaoulis of Roger Williams University.

85% of Chief Business Officers believe their institution will be financially stable over the next five years.  Confidence is rising (last year that figure was 72%). The most commonly cited reason is confidence that enrollment will increase, which may be delusional for many institutions.    https://lnkd.in/eUhcK-p4

More and more four year colleges are establishing transfer agreements with community colleges, a change that is good for the students and for the institutions.

Only the most wealthy institutions have to worry about their asset allocation to private equity creating a liquidity risk. After that happened in 2008 to some institutions, protections have been built into the system.
