Correction/Adjustment factors are important, as they allow us to sort through the chaos of differing variables to show expected performance in any situation. These can include: 1. Adding context as to how the late Willie Mays would perform if he were playing in today's era (which there is no question he would have still been better than great); 2. Creating scale models of products or objects to check performance at a lower cost, then adjusting to help give insight as to how a full prototype may function. 3. Finding how different temperatures effect the same process... like today, when I rode 23 miles getting ready for Pelotonia. Based on my extensive (1 time) research into the subject, I have determined that along with the 10% positive adjustment to total distance when riding for cancer research, there is also a roughly 2.0x adjustment to distance on ride days where it reaches 90 degrees before lunch time. So I rode 50 miles today, which just happens to be the amount I will be riding for Pelotonia on August 3rd. Crazy how math works! (and if you doubt the specifics of this experiment, you are more than welcome to add data to this set, but I believe you will find a similar result...) This is transformational!!

I've never posted on anything personal or political on LinkedIn. Isn't the forum for either. And this isn't either. It is about much-needed humor in increasingly humorless times. Admission: I'm a frat boy. Have some fratastic tendencies. Insert frat boy joke here. Guilty as charged. But THIS, my dear internet friends, is perhaps the most epically fratastic tour de force in history. By way of background, as university campuses around the country are devolving into utter chaos by (as some have characterized) performative self-absorbed narcissists, a group of frat boys from UNC-Chapel Hill took a stand yesterday against an attempted removal by the blue-haired 'protesters' of Old Glory. It made national news. In response, a GoFundMe page was set up by sources unknown to raise money for these gents to pay for (drum roll) the most epic kegger ever held. Whatever your politics and beliefs about current goings-on in the middle east, a sense of humor is in short supply. These brave frat boys have provided some much-needed perspective and, yes, humor in stark opposition to those Ivy League students demanding the very universities whose buildings they've stormed & overtaken... (drum roll) be obliged to provide catering to them because they've 'paid for a meal plan' as they've barricaded themselves inside said university buildings, broke in & padlocked the doors. Sacrificing for the cause, but only if it is catered & paid for by the very same vile universities they protest. Let them eat cake! Take 30 seconds to read the GoFundMe page-- not necessarily to contribute, or because you favor one side or the other, but for some glimmer of humor in what is an increasingly humorless time. Hello Everyone, I am hosting Today a Walk and Roll for National Ataxia Foundation at Virginia Tech but I am also requesting for Virtual walks in virgins. It was initiated as First Walk and Roll for Virginia Tech but it later expanded to Northern Virginia and to colleagues residing in other states. It is to celebrate my daughter’s graduation at Tech who worked hard through her 4 years to improve accessibility within the university. There are some changes but still there are delays in execution due to funding. This Walk and Roll is second one in Virginia and first one in NOVA and Blacksburg. What is Walk and Roll - It is to for those who cannot walk any more and who became wheel chair bound to Roll while Friends and Family Walk with them. What is Ataxia - It is inability to Walk and a disjunction between a thought and walk. There are several underlying causes and mostly genetic conditions. What am I going to achieve - 1. To bring awareness in the public to understand, respect and support those who are unable to walk. 2. ⁠More research and funding to go for genetic studies through these National Foundations. 3. ⁠We are looking for more research and nutrition based programs identifying the elimination of toxicity through food specific to the condition. Believe it or not US has severally fallen behind that. 3. ⁠I am also primarily focusing on Accesibility improvements in and around schools. We started our fight at Virginia Tech and later after seeing our walk posts couple more came forward for difficulties with accessibility’s at schools and colleges. After this, I appreciate you all to joining me for a cause to sign the petition to improve accessibility’s for all doors starting at VT with a hope it expand to other colleges and universities.
