You do WHAT??? Now, every time I head to a conference or trade show I carry a can of PlayDoh with me. Because when I say “I train adults with PlayDoh” they say… “You do what???” And I show them the can. They ask me how that works, but more importantly they want to know WHY?? And I explain, not only does PlayDoh: 🎨Take you back to the creativity of childhood 🧠Allow you to access both sides of your brain and therefore more knowledge and insights 👏Encourage developing a shared understanding of important concepts 👏Allow your team to have FUN while learning a LOT ❤️ It is also an antidote to the biggest epidemic of our time - disconnection and loneliness. All that while improving retention and productivity. Make it happen! The "actor's" wants to play ▶️ ! Have lots of fun 😁 make friends🧡 scoring goals and be happy. Be always pozitive and don't be critic for them. They are young and lots of time to learn from their mistakes. Give them example what they did good and how they can prevent the worst scenario. Help them being in a respectful environment where they can learn and develop themselves. Encourage them to talk and play together like that they will create friends and teams who play for each other and to compete. Encourage them to be creative and to express themselves during the games. Let them find the options and support them from the back. They wants to hear you there but not screaming to scare them, they need your support , so make sure how you express yourself and what do you want your players to get out of your position over there. At BA Sphere, we play several games intended to create team bonding among our fellows and create educational entertainment. My observations are quite multifaceted. First, creating some form of competition drives engagement. Second, making the questions too hard negatively affect interest. Third, making the questions too easy makes people unwilling to participate. This is an interesting insight I have learned and would apply when facilitating workshops and group sessions at work: hard enough that sufficient people will get, simple enough that not everyone will get, and fairly competitive enough that no one would want to be left behind. It’s like the famous advertising pitch about skirts: short enough to entice and long enough to cover the subject. What are your own experiences with games?
