The jurisdiction of reparations cases cannot attach in a hostile state because the court is biased, the extent of being a DEFENDANT who engaged, condoned, and acquiesced to the hostile acts and therefore this case must be heard in an unbiased international court. This lawyer filed a “ Public Nuisance” law suit dressed up in reparation language. That is the most pitiful, ‘far reaching legal approach that I have ever seen for a “Crimes Against Humanity” case. I have to read his legal brief but, of course the Oklahoma Supreme Court did not see it his way . The case was basically decided on the basis of a US self serving status of limitations. This case and all of the Civil Rights legal approaches are unfortunately ignorant of how to plead a REPARATIONS case. This case and all the other so-called reparations cases have been a legal ruse. Why? The US and its courts are DEFENDANTS! This is common sense or a failure of common sense which is why the Civil Rights cases brought by the Civil Rights lawyers, voting rights, Black Farners, Gerrymandering, Gentrification , and Racial Discrimination have failed. Our cases are worthy of an unbiased decision but only in an unbiased court. The United States is a DEFENDANT, which is why Congress passed the self serving statute of limitations, when in actuality, there is not an international law statute of limitations for “Crimes Against Humanity “.
The Oklahoma Supreme Court recently dismissed a lawsuit that was filed by the two known remaining survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Members of my family left Oklahoma for Denver after the attacks, so this event is deeply personal for me. The decision by the Court stands as a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle for #justice and recognition faced by Black communities in the U.S. The justices ruled that the plaintiffs’ complaints “do not fall within the scope of our state’s public nuisance statute.” They also did not support the claims presented in the lawsuit that the plaintiffs were forced to endure economic and social hardships as a result of the massacre. The decision overlooks the profound and lasting consequences of this tragic event. The 1921 #TulsaRaceMassacre was not just a moment of devastating violence; it was a deliberate attempt to dismantle the thriving Black community in Greenwood. The dismissal by the Oklahoma Supreme Court is a painful reminder of the systemic barriers that continue to impede justice for Black Americans. Our Proposal offers Major Benefits in all three Categories to the Players and their Families! Scholarship Football Players are owed Hundreds of Millions of dollars from this year’s Media contract that uses these Players’ Name, Image, and Likeness NIL without any equitable financial consideration to the Players or their Families! This lost Money could have a major impact on these Players lives, the lives of their current and future family members for generations? We do not support, or agree with the House vs NCAA Settlement or the current covert attempts to extend and expand this Antitrust exploitation of our young (mostly minority) FB & BB Players' labor that the US Supreme Court and Federal District Court have recently struck down as illegal and implausible.

Office of the Provost: Afro-descendant Institute of Human Rights I am asking that those who are really concerned about reparations to understand that a “racist” court who is actually a DEFENDANT for this and so many other rulings does not have the final say. There is a higher court or courts that are available when a government or its courts violate human rights. The truth of the matter is that our lawyers and activists need training in international law so that they can properly represent us. The US Supreme Court was wrong and we can overturn this decision. We are arguing this case from the wrong status and in the wrong court. How could we expect civil rights lawyers to win anything meaningful for us when they only appear before a defendant court?

After a 7-year-old girl was punished for giving a friend a drawing that her school principal allegedly deemed “racist,” that question is now before the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, where it's being litigated by the libertarian-leaning Pacific Legal Foundation. Replacing Confederate monuments with statues of civil rights activists allows communities to correct the historical narrative by honoring those who fought for equality and justice rather than those who defended slavery and white supremacy. Confederate monuments were often erected during the Jim Crow era as symbols of resistance to racial equality, and their presence continues to perpetuate the legacy of racism and oppression. By replacing them with monuments to civil rights activists, society can celebrate the progress made towards justice and inspire future generations to continue that work. John Lewis symbolizes the ongoing struggle for civil rights and human dignity. Honoring him acknowledges the contributions of Black Americans and other marginalized groups in building the nation. Replacing Confederate monuments with those of civil rights leaders promotes healing and reconciliation. It sends a powerful message that the community is committed to moving forward, united by shared values of equality and justice rather than division and hate. This transformation of public spaces can help to create environments where all citizens feel respected and valued.

Another great article posted by the Director of Second Look Network at The Sentencing Project regarding use of clemency powers to address excessive sentences. The number of older people in State & Federal prisons is increasing faster than any other age group. How could anyone claim that the point of incarceration was to incapacitate the truly dangerous when there are more people older than 55 in US prisons than there are people in high crime range of 18-24? Geriatric healthcare in prison is both disgraceful and expensive. It costs on average, 3x more to incarcerate an older person than a younger one. National survey data according to the Prison Policy Initiative show that most victims support violence prevention, social investment, and alternatives to incarceration that address the root causes of crime, not more investment in carceral systems that cause more harm. Governor Andy Beshear could help alleviate the excessive costs mass incarceration has incurred on Kentucky as a proponent for second chances, and providing additional resources to protect public education and access to affordable healthcare-basic rights to the citizens of the Commonwealth. #SecondLookLaws #KyFreeKarenBrown
