It was an absolute pleasure speaking with Judy Khan Shaw of NYSE #FloorTalk. I'm throwing down the gauntlet today and challenging CISOs and their boards to prioritize prevention. It was an honor to join Josh Lipton and Julie Hyman on Yahoo Finance to discuss where the cybersecurity industry is headed, especially amidst the rise of sophisticated #AI threats. In a world that is now dominated by adversarial AI, the broad platform approach taken by several legacy cybersecurity providers is no longer effective. We must move away from a "detection and response" approach to cyber threats, and instead, focus on predictive prevention. Deep Instinct is at the forefront of an industry-wide movement to shift away from a reactive, “assume breach” mindset. I appreciate the opportunity to speak with Jon and Morgan on Overtime. The topic of Cyber threat PREVENTION will come to the forefront and platform companies that can leverage their existing enterprise customer base and deliver AI that can fight AI, will gain an upper hand and eventually become the platform(s) of choice. The answer is in DEEP LEARNING. You cannot PREVENT AI threats without instinct - DEEP INSTINCT.

Among my 2024 predictions, I projected that this will be the year of significant cybersecurity consolidation. Specifically, we’ll see large platform players extend their capabilities via acquisition, with ideal targets being smaller #cybersecurity companies with differentiated and meaningful technology.    On February 8th we started to see this play out with Cohesity, an AI-powered data company, acquiring private-equity-backed Veritas’s data protection business. The two combining signals to the market the opportunities poised in the world of data security. I believe that securing data, wherever it is stored (NAS or Cloud), will be the next frontier garnering high attention.
