TRUSTEES FOR CIVIC INFRASTRUCTURE Our commitment to enhancing civic infrastructure by encouraging, educating, and inspiring individuals of all ages throughout the county would not be possible without the continued support of our trustees. LEADERship has a small group of Trustees for Civic Infrastructure who provide an annual investment critical to the ongoing success of our program. Each investment goes directly to participant programming and results in people taking on leadership roles in the community. LEADERship, in turn, banners the names of the Trustee organizations on LEADERship publications and materials. As is almost always the case with education, tuition for the class year does not cover the cost of the program. The support from the Trustees for Civic Infrastructure allows LEADERship to keep tuition at an affordable price to maintain the diversity we seek. That also allows us to maintain the growing network of leaders who are working individually and collectively to strengthen our communities. LEADERship Ashtabula County salutes our Trustees for Civic Infrastructure, who have invested in the development of people ready to make things happen. #Trustees #LEADERshipAshtabulaCounty #CommunitySupport #CommunityPartnership

So, Why Engage Youth in Community Service? Most of the times, individuals, entities and initiatives ignore the power of involving the young people on matters of serving the community. But in reality, engaging youth in community service not only benefits the community but also nurtures a sense of responsibility and empathy among young people. When these young people volunteer their time and skills, they learn valuable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and civic engagement. Community service projects such as environmental clean-ups, mentoring programs, and food drives provide opportunities for young people to make a tangible impact and contribute positively to society. How can we create more opportunities for youth to engage in meaningful community service? It's time to explore innovative ways to inspire and support young volunteers in making a difference in their communities. Together, we can empower the next generation of compassionate leaders. There's no shortage of challenges faced by communities and families across the nation. For most of these issues, the way that communities successfully tackle big problems takes more than just one group to pull on the rope. It's the community assets on the sidelines that are needed to move the dial. (How is that for 3 metaphors in three sentences?) ...not in isolation, and not by just getting angry or loud - through cooperation and leverage. Here's a fresh way to access resources we've been developing since 2003. IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF A PERMANENT AND LASTING SOLUTION TO THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING CRISIS AND HOMELESSNESS, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IS BROKEN AND NOT WORKING FOR AMERICAN TAXPAYERS Veteran Housing Corp would ask every TAXPAYER to demand and get answers from their elected and appointed government officials the below questions as they relate to any affordable, workforce, or supportive housing project in your community! 1. How much local, state, and federal funding, tax credits, or other government benefits or incentives did the project receive? 2. What is the affordability period for each project? Is the affordability period permanent and in perpetuity? 3. What guarantees exist have your local, state, and federal government officials obtained in writing that rents will not go up or that tenants will not be displaced or evicted after the "affordability period expires? Every local, state, and federal housing authority and affordable or workforce housing stakeholder should adopt the State of Vermont's "permanent affordability" policy as a model for all future government funded or subsidized housing projects or developments, no exceptions! https://lnkd.in/eFEUC8c8 Additionally, local, state and federal housing agencies should look to the Helsinki, FINLAND MODEL of ending homelessness by providing affordable housing for all 'It’s a miracle': Helsinki's radical solution to homelessness https://lnkd.in/er9HZSQU Even the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development AGREES THAT adopting FINLAND'S MODEL OF ERADICATING HOMELESSNESS may be of great value to resolving the affordable housing and homelessness crises in America https://lnkd.in/gkSZWYRU

Investing in young leaders can have a tremendous impact on both the individuals and the organizations they are a part of. By providing opportunities for young people to develop their leadership skills, organizations can tap into the unique perspectives and innovative ideas of the next generation. This can lead to increased creativity, productivity, and overall success for the organization. In addition, investing in young leaders can help to build a strong pipeline of talent for the future. By providing mentorship and guidance to young people, organizations can help to cultivate the next generation of leaders who will be equipped to take on increasingly complex challenges. Furthermore, investing in young leaders can have a positive impact on the wider community. By empowering young people to take on leadership roles, organizations can help to build a more diverse and inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed.

A Reflective Journey Through Church Planting and Growth In the early stages of my ministry, nestled in the heart of Dothan, Alabama, I encountered a pivotal moment that would define my career. Conversing with Win Arn, a luminary in the church growth movement, I was inspired by his directive: to make a significant impact, one must embark on the journey of church planting. This advice led me to First Baptist Church in Dothan, poised to launch a new congregation. My role as an evangelist, though not as the pastor, involved grassroots efforts of door-to-door engagement, laying the foundation for a community that would soon flourish to standing-room-only capacity. This experience was not merely a job but a calling that honed my skills in community building and spiritual leadership. The lessons learned and successes garnered from this initial church plant propelled me to further my mission, leading to the establishment of churches from the East Coast to the West Coast. Each endeavor reinforced my commitment to fostering communities of faith that are vibrant, inclusive, and transformative. My journey has been one of continuous learning, adaptation, and above all, a testament to the power of faith in action. As I reflect on these experiences, my goal is to share these insights with fellow church leaders. Whether you're in the nascent stages of church planting or seeking to invigorate your congregation's growth, I invite you to connect. Let's explore how we can collaborate to catalyze growth, deepen community engagement, and create lasting impact in your church. Schedule a conversation with me, and together, let's embark on a journey of transformation and renewal. https://lnkd.in/eiWR_jvq #ChurchGrowth #Leadership #MinistryLeadership #FaithInAction #BillTennyBrittian #CommunityBuilding #SpiritualLeadership

It was a pleasure to join my good friend, David Thomas, President at Morehouse College, for a fireside chat to celebrate the 110 year anniversary of the Atlanta Rotary Club. To commemorate the critical role the Rotary Club has played in bringing together local #business, #education and #community leaders, the theme of the club this year is “Leadership Lessons for Service and Growth.” During our discussion, Dave and I spoke about how Atlanta has become a growing #tech hub thanks to the leadership of Mayor Andre Dickens, the opportunity that Vista Equity Partners sees in the region and how we are viewing challenges over the next year. We also discussed how businesses can support the community, including by supporting educational and economic equity by working with organizations like Student Freedom Initiative and Southern Communities Initiative (SCI). It will take all of us, the private sector, public sector, nonprofits and educational institutions, to expand opportunity for all Americans and create strong companies.
