As every creative knows, some of the best ideas come when you step away from the computer and explore something different. And that’s exactly what the creatives from across Leap Group agencies did recently. We began with a breakfast gathering in the warehouse lounge area in our Louisville office, where we shared the amazing projects we’d been working on in the past few months, along with some of the things that had been inspiring us lately. Then we headed over to Cooking at the Cottage, where we learned to make our own pizzas and chatted over slices expertly prepared by the head chef. Finally, we walked over to the local pub where Executive Creative Director Kenny Friedman gifted everyone with a copy of Rick Rubin’s The Creative Act. Here’s to more great creative work! #AgencyLife #CreativeAgency #AdvertisingAgency #DesignAgency #BrandingAgency #DigitalAgency #TheCreativeAct #CreativeInsp #DesignInspo #OutOfOffice

Commercial Director & Video Strategist // I help brands and agencies visualize and execute award winning content!
This guy. My biz partner Huge Galdones. Making homemade Butter Mochi for our open house last Friday at our new studio LIKE A BOSS. (If you missed it, let us know, we are gonna start doing a fun breakfast hangout series) Also many thanks to Missy Maan de Kok Myers who we basically couldn't get anything done without! What we are building over at Roll Cut Studios (Agency focused Video & Photo), Skalawag Productions (Direct Brand focused Video & Photo) fills me up with so much excitement (and sometimes panic ;) A lot of what we talk about when we aren't on set shooting Food & Beverage work is the idea of hospitality - extending the table, taking care of people, while also doing the cool stuff. He made a whole spread for the party: Spam Musubi, Kalua Pork, Mac Salad, Butter Mochi, etc. I also made some killer Painkillers to go along with our tiki theme. And we were chatting about how it would be fun to do this every couple months for clients, collaborators and friends. Extend the table, invite people to hang and cook for them. So stay tuned for our upcoming breakfast series where we cook you breakfast, and provide some space to be human, extend the table and learn what's happening in each others lives. #foodandbeverage #advertising #marketing #videoproductioncompany #hospitality

🍔🍦 Weird Fusion ahead! Just when you thought food couldn't get any crazier... People are boiling Maggie in Coke, and McDonald's is rocking MC Coke Floats! So, I thought, why not join the madness? Presenting: a mini burger in an ice cream cone! Is it a snack? Is it dessert? Who knows! But one thing's for sure, you'll always get that hilarious feeling when you take a bite! And honestly, I had no clue what I was designing when I came up with this! 😂 Tag a friend who needs to try this! #EmbraceTheWeird #FoodAdventures #ViralFood #GraphicDesign #MotionGraphics #fun #ArtisticCreations #DesignInspiration #CreativeGenius #FunDesigns #DesignMashup #DesignMadness #DesignLife #DigitalDesign #CreativeProcess #DesignThinking #InnovativeDesign #VisualArt #DesignerLife #ProductDesign #ProductFun #MarketingTrends #DesignInnovation #DesignExperimentation #AdCreativity #Advertising #CreativeAdvertising #TalentAcquisition #HR #SocialMedia #Aftereffects #photoshop #illustrator

https://lnkd.in/dEzVpjG7 👀 Ever wondered why some things pop out like they're saying "Hey, look at me!" while others just blend into the background like they're playing hide and seek? That's design hierarchy doing its thing! Think about it like checking out a menu at your favorite restaurant. The big, bold words are like the headliners, screaming "Pick me! I'm delicious!" while the smaller ones are like those little details that whisper, "Hey, don't forget about me, I'm tasty too!" It's all about keeping things simple and organized, just like how we organize our closets to find that one favorite shirt without making a mess. Because let's be real, nobody has time to play "Where's Waldo?" with their wardrobe every morning! It might sound like a small thing, but trust me, it's the little details that make a big difference! #DesignHierarchy #ClearCommunication #OrganizedChaos

Getting photo & video clients is hard. Here's how to make it easy 👇 Imagine you want to try a new restaurant tonight. You're craving Italian food. You search up 'Italian restaurants near me" and you start browsing. I don't know about you, but I'm filtering by ratings. I want something 4.5 stars or higher. The more reviews, the better. If a restaurant has zero reviews, I don't even consider this. And this is where most photographers and videographers go wrong. A client goes to their website, they love the photos, but they see ZERO reviews. There's no credibility. Clients have no idea what it's like to ACTUALLY work with you. It's just you promoting yourself. And online, there's a lack of trust here. Sure your portfolio looks good, but no one is vouching for you. Same with that restaurant with no reviews. Their menu looks good, but how do you know the food actually tastes good? The solution is simple. Gather testimonials and slap them on your website.

Building brands for growing businesses who need more than beautiful designs | Strategy - Branding - Design - Web - Copy
I was frying crepes for Yom Tov… (It's a semi-approved activity for husbands. It ranks after cholent and grilled cheese, but well before baking.) …and it wasn't working out. I have creping down to a science, but now I was impatient - and it was showing. I slowed myself down and we were back in business! You can be great at things. But some things just take time. I'm not gonna circle back to branding, but this shows up at work all the time. Identify the things that require nurturing and patience and then ride the process out, slow and steady. Just keep at it and it will fall into place. End of motivational Thursday. Is that a thing? #slowandsteady #process #blintzes #designwithdestination #studioblu ____________________ Hi, I’m Yaakov, strategist/writer/researcher at Studio BLU, where I enjoy uniqueing businesses who know they're outstanding. THERE ARE STILL GREAT ADVERTS – PART 6 So, we’ve come to Friday. We got there, folks. And we arrive at the sixth and final (although I still have a huge list of alternatives I could have chosen) example of amazing ads still being done by amazing creatives in amazing agencies for smart & collaborative clients who still demand amazing work. Ladies and Gents, McDonald's from Leo Burnett UK. https://lnkd.in/e3HxeE6e I’ve chosen the most famous ad they did recently, but I could equally have chosen from a series of others: https://lnkd.in/eEQw8mE3 or https://lnkd.in/eQfSUYjT are two other stellar recent examples. This is superb work, from Charlie Rudd, Tom Sussman and a bagful of astonishingly talented creatives. And it’s from a long line of superb scripts, from probably the most creatively fecund relationship of the last decade or so. Casting is always second to none, creative ambition is never lacking, and the production is just sublime. So I hope I’ve made my point. Great work is still being made by people with the imagination and energy to make it. Too often people blame the “client” or the “agency” or "nowadays" or “technology” or [insert lazy excuse here] if they can't get good work out, when what they really lack are good ideas. Never stop trying to make the work better. It's all our job. #creativity #adverts #television #production #nostalgiabias #agencyvoices #campaigns #marketing #clients #agencies

Don't hate me -- but you should probably tell more lies to your audience in the interest of serving them. When it comes to storytelling -- we don't want all the facts -- we want the ones that matter. So if there were 10 of you at dinner, at a specific restaurant in West Hollywood that is on the corner of Robertson and Santa Monica BLVD -- but none of that matters to the story ... LEAVE IT OUT! You want to maximize the time your audience is thinking... "what happens next" or "how are they going to get out of this mess?" And not "who was with her again?" "Do I need to remember all these names/" "Let me google that restaurant's menu" So it's ok to take creative freedoms. Got a story question? Hit me with it in the comments -- if I use it for a future carousel post -- I'll send you a link to spend 30 minutes with me on a call workshopping one of your stories. #storytelling #presentationskills #publicspeaking
