I often find the lack of transparency in our industry a little frustrating. It's sometimes hard to tell what's real and what's just marketing. I guess if I worked in a different industry, I might not be so cynical but we're dealing with actual human beings (patients) day in and day out and stuff that actually works really matters. It's impossible to build trust if we aren't honest with our patients. Anyways, I took a stroll on Glassdoor over the weekend and just looked at 5 or 6 of the more well-known DCT/tech/not-even-sure-what-to-call-them-anymore companies and 4 of them mention paying for or otherwise manipulating employee reviews. Sometimes I feel bad for being skeptical but this kind of stuff is super weird and only muddies the waters in an industry that relies so heavily on trust. #clinicaltrials #clinicalresearch

This is vital for healthcare providers who need to analyze data to tackle inefficiencies, manage costs, and shape strategy. 🔗 Integration vs. All-in-One Solution Another key finding from the survey was the need for a more holistic approach to health and social care systems. “My story began when I started as a young developer in the IT department. I still reminisce about early efforts to roll out electronic medical records and interpret reams of digital data, something that is the industry norm now. Back then we were just exploring how to apply IT in healthcare. Patients placed immense trust in doctors to guide treatment, and with that trust came immense responsibility. Technology was seen as a support, not a driver of care. There is, however, immense potential for technology to bridge gaps in care delivery. As medical practices evolved to rely more heavily on data, IT systems needed to keep pace. In the early 2000s, I realized my true passion lay in healthcare IT specifically. It aligned with my values and how I wanted to approach these challenges in the industry. I now head projects involving electronic health records, data analytics, and telehealth. My role, nevertheless, involves much more than deploying tech solutions. Healthcare IT is ultimately about understanding patient needs and experiences. Technology should simplify, not complicate their journey. After over 25 years working in healthcare and IT, I've realized leadership is about much more than job titles or profits. Knowing how my work affects patients reminds me every day why I do what I do. I've stayed in this field not for the paycheck, but because it gives me meaning. I try to lead by bringing out the best in my team. I take time to understand what motivates them individually. By aligning their work with their talents and interests, I help them find purpose too. "I can't take it anymore; I'm fed up!" Recently, I had a client who was incredibly frustrated with the number of questions he was receiving. He said his users were "too stupid to use the system." Now, when this is the case, the problem is usually between the keyboard and the chair. So here are the 3 steps on how we solved this problem for good: 1️⃣ Onboarding Every time there are new employees or people switching roles in the company, the people need to be trained on the system. So first, we leveraged WalkMe™ , as our digital adoption platform, to develop a customized and effective user onboarding program. This program guides new employees through the system, from completing their profiles to executing key activities. Our platform also provides notches to ensure users complete required actions like: "Please pay attention, you still need to complete your profile data.” 2️⃣ change management Secondly, we analyzed the top 10 questions constantly filling the client's inbox and developed digital adoption content to answer each one. This way, all users can find the answer to their questions directly in their WalkMe menu, drastically reducing the number of tickets the client receives. 3️⃣ communication Thirdly, we ensured that all system updates and changes were effectively communicated to users in advance. We developed a content calendar and created pop-ups to notify users of new functionality or changes to processes with messages like: "Hey guys, a new release is coming up. On Monday, you have this and that new functionality." Once the update was released, we notified the user again through a pop-up and directly offered guidance: "Hey guys, the new releases there. This is the new functionality. Shall we guide you through it and show you how it works?" Through this process, we significantly improved the client's data quality over a few weeks. ➡️ By implementing a digital adoption platform, the client no longer had to deal with frustrated users, reduced the number of tickets, and improved data quality.
