Today we held our Cash in on Kindness quarterly guest collection initiative presentation. In April, the Conservation Resource Alliance - CRA received $4,427.46 to support their efforts to improve Michigan's waterways, preserve the wilderness, and protect wildlife as part of Earth Month. In May, in honor of National Cancer Research Month, the Leelanau County Cancer Foundation received $4,789.71 to help local cancer patients with expenses such as mortgage and rent payments, utilities, childcare, insurance, and more. Lastly, in recognition of June being National Adopt a Cat Month, Just Cats, Inc. received $5,267.07 to continue their work in re-homing pets when necessary and supporting local shelters and human societies during overflow situations. We want to express our gratitude to all the generous donors who contributed their spare change to make a positive impact in our community.

It’s tough to fully explain just how cool and unprecedented this is 🤯 I’m so grateful that Karin Kirchoff brought the idea of a Nonprofit DAF Benchmark study to us in the fall - it’s been a big undertaking for both of us, but incredibly worthwhile 💞 Thanks to the 21 participants, we have accumulated a treasure trove of data from organizations with a broad range of size, cause area and geographic focus 🤩 This data represents the first time anyone has systematically looked at historical Donor Advised Fund activity from the perspective of the MOST important stakeholder in this ecosystem - the nonprofits delivering the impact! 👏🏼 In this study, we are analyzing 5-10 years of ALL historical individual giving - both DAF gifts and non-DAF gifts - to better understand: 1️⃣ How DAFs are evolving as a component of nonprofit fundraising 📈 2️⃣ How DAF donors behave over time compared with non-DAF donors 💰 3️⃣ What drives success of DAF fundraising 🏆 To adequately answer these kinds of questions, we knew that we’d need a monster set of data 😮 Luckily, these organizations stepped up to prepare and share millions & millions of data points 🌟 Alzheimer’s Assocation American Cancer Society ACLU Best Friends Animal Society Center for Reproductive Rights Central Park Conservancy Defenders of Wildlife Food & Friends Hirshberg Foundation International Rescue Committee Lustgarten Foundation No Kid Hungry, Share our Strength Peta Save the Redwoods League Seeds of Peace Sempervirens Fund Susan G. Komen The Humane Society of the United States, Trust for Public Land Youth Inc. Thank you to everyone for all the hard work on this - you’re playing a critical role in what will ultimately be a truly invaluable resource to nonprofits everywhere trying to get more from DAFs 🎉 We plan to publish the final report in mid-June - if you’d like to see previews in the coming weeks and be the first to review the final report, sign up for our updates (link below)! #nonprofit #fundraising #philanthropy

Home and Hope for Every Stray 🐾 In the bustling streets and winding alleys of our towns, they roam — eyes filled with longing, tails tentative. Strays don't just need food or momentary pats; they crave homes, warmth, and a lasting hope for tomorrow. At Stray Care, we've embarked on a mission to provide both home and hope to these innocent souls. From rescuing the injured to facilitating joyous adoptions, our work has one focal point: ensuring every stray finds a place it can call home and a future brightened with hope. But like every big dream, this mission has its challenges. And that's where we need YOU. Your support can be transformative: ₹500 can feed a stray for a week. ₹1000 can vaccinate a stray, protecting it from potential diseases. ₹5000 can sponsor a sterilization, ensuring a healthier life for the animal and control overpopulation. ₹10000 can aid in life-saving medical surgeries. And if you think these amounts sound big, remember: even a single rupee has the power to ripple into a wave of change. Every little counts, and every little grows. If 100 people donated just ₹100 each, imagine the lives we could touch. Let's come together, not just to donate but to make a collective difference. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dWXQUutg In the vast tapestry of life, strays are not mere threads but vibrant strokes of love and loyalty. Let's ensure they aren't left faded or forgotten. Stand with us. Support our mission. Bring home and hope to every stray. #StrayCare #EveryLifeMatters #SupportStrays #HomeAndHope #Manali #CompassionForAll #Share #HimachalPradesh #AnimalShelter #AnimalRescue #MedicalCare #NonProfit #AnimalWelfare

Did you know that it's 'Wills Week' from 15 July to 21 July? It's highlighting a powerful way to make a positive difference 💞 And did you know… 💌 8% of wills written with Public Trust in the last three years have a gift to a charity. 🎁 The average value of the gift is $10,000. 🤲 The most common types of charities provided for are those focused on cancer, children, education, medical research and protecting New Zealand’s environment and wildlife. "We know that many New Zealanders don’t fully understand their ability to make a positive difference. There is so much need out there and there are so many opportunities for New Zealanders to make a positive difference, including by leaving a bequest.” - Philanthropy New Zealand Chief Executive Rahul Watson Govindan. Michigan Patients Need YOUR Help! I hope this message finds you well and warm during these snowy, cold weeks we've had! I am one of the blood drive coordinators for my local Alger Heights (Grand Rapids) community and would love to see you at our upcoming drive this month! Please join us on Tuesday, January 30th from 1:30pm - 6:00pm at Seymour Christian Reformed Church (840 Alger St. SE, Grand Rapids MI 49507) to donate your precious life source! Click the link or QR code below to sign up for an appointment: https://lnkd.in/gyqCRXXd Blood Donation Facts You Probably Didn't Know: - Someone needs blood every 2 seconds. - Just one blood donation can save up to 3 lives. - There is no substitute for human blood. - On average, 1 in every 7 people entering a hospital will need blood. - A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood. - More than 75% of all Americans reaching age 72 will need donated blood within their lifetime; 97% will have a loved one who will need blood. - 17% of people who don’t give blood cite “never thought about it” as the main reason for not donating, while 15% say they’re “too busy.” - Donating blood burns 650 calories. Donating blood is one of my favorite things to do because I know I am helping save lives of those in my community. What a rewarding way to give back to others, especially this month as we honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.! I truly thank you for your consideration in signing up to donate blood this month. The need continues to increase with a decrease in donors. I know life is busy and we have other priorities, but I implore you to think what just an hour or so out of your day could do for someone else. If it was your family or friend's life on the line, would you make the time?

Good businesses do good things. For us, being a better business comes with a responsibility to give back to the communities we operate within. Over the past year we’ve made contributions to the following charities, all of which were nominated by members of our team because they mean the world to them. 🚁 Glencoe Rescue Team: Saving Lives in the Highlands Donations like ours help to fund essential equipment, training programs, and operational costs that the Glencoe Rescue Team face so that volunteers can continue to respond to emergency situations all year round in the harsh and unforgiving conditions of the Scottish Highlands. 💧 The Water of Leith Conservation Trust: Preserving Scotland's Waterways Supporters of the Water of Leith’s environmental sustainability initiatives, play their part in conservation efforts dedicated to ensuring that vital ecosystems thrive for generations to come. 🎗️ Breast Cancer Now: Driving Forward Breast Cancer Breakthroughs Breast Cancer Now are building a brighter future for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer. Contributions support that goal by helping to advance vital research, support patients, and raising awareness about breast cancer. 🏥 Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity: Giving More Than Medicine ECHC work to take away the fear of a life-changing hospital experience for children and their families, speeding up recovery and providing reassurance and distraction. 🧡 Maggie's Centres: Here for Everyone Facing Cancer Maggie's play a vital role in helping people facing cancer, and their family and friends, receive emotional support and practical advice in a calm and welcoming environment. #ESG #SocialResponsibility #PurposeDrivenBusiness #MakingADifference #CommunityImpact #charitysupport

I lead a passionate, high-performing, and creative team, integral to the strategic success @ Titus. Head of Marketing and Purpose | Senior Leader | Balancing people, purpose and profit.
We did this video a while ago now but still love it. Great to see the work we are doing now, more than ever backs it up (even though you cut me out of the edit Callum Barrett) 😉 'What makes you proud' video... With Titus, we've found that our service and solution work really well for non-profits and charities. So much so, they are now one of our biggest sectors. So I wanted to shout out to just a few and shine a light on their amazing work; Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust: They’re all about saving endangered species and protecting our planet. Respect: Helping to end domestic violence and support those who’ve been affected. Partnership For Children: Promoting mental health and emotional well-being for kids worldwide. Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group: Offering research and support for kids with cancer and their families. The Sleep Charity: Advocating for good sleep for everyone and providing support where it’s needed. New Covenant Ministries: Offering community support and spiritual guidance. North East Sensory Services: Helping people with sensory impairments achieve their full potential. F1 in Schools: Inspiring young people to get into engineering and science through the excitement of Formula 1. Niyo: Empowering women of African descent through creativity and tech. GiveBlood4Good: Encouraging blood donations to save lives. So fulfilling to see the difference we can make. #CorporateSocialResponsibility #NonProfitSupport #PurposeDrivenWork #MakingADifference #SocialImpact #BCorp

Today's Wow Me Wednesday is highlighting a company in San Antonio called: Project MEND. https://lnkd.in/gJefmfQs Mission: Project MEND (Medical Equipment Network for those with Disabilities) is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals living with disabilities and illnesses through the refurbishment, reuse, and distribution of medical equipment and other assistive technology. Do you have a family member who had a wheelchair, scooter, bathroom assist, C-PAP machine, Special beds, etc. and don't know what to do with it after they have passed away? Donate it to Project MEND. Your donation will will help Project MEND to continue connecting individuals living with disabilities and illnesses to much-needed Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Project MEND does this by collecting used DME, that we repair, refurbish, and sanitize to the State of Texas Health Department’s Standards at our Headquarters & Fulfillment Center. Once available, Project MEND distributes the equipment to individuals in need who present with a prescription (Rx) or Letter of Medical Necessity from their licensed healthcare provider. Project MEND’s main beneficiaries are low-income individuals living with a disability and/or life-altering illness. We are the ONLY organization providing refurbished medical equipment in South Texas. When an individual living with a disability needs medical equipment to remain mobile, independent, or engaged in life, and has limited financial resources, they often go without the “luxury” of the equipment needed for them to live safely. Having the right pieces of medical equipment available when needed positively impacts their quality of life through increased mobility, self-sufficiency, and independence.

Do you know of a first responder in you city/state ? If so I’d like to mow their lawn while I’m on my 16th, 50 state mowing tour in September . What exactly is my 50-state mowing tour? Well, it involves traveling to all 50 states, driving to 48 of them, and flying to Alaska and Hawaii. During this tour, I mow lawns for various causes. In the past, I've mowed for breast cancer, childhood cancer, teachers, autism, veterans, and many more. Each tour is dedicated to a specific cause, and as part of the effort, I customize a lawn mower to represent that cause. At the end of each tour, I auction off the customized mower, with all proceeds going to non-profit organizations associated with the cause. To date we have raised over $19,000 for causes. It's heartwarming to know that 100% of these funds have been directed to support non-profits connected to each cause. For my first tour of 2023, I am honored to be mowing for first responders, which includes firefighters, law enforcement officers, doctors, nurses, EMTs, and 911 dispatchers. I'm also reaching out to families of heroes who tragically lost their lives while on duty. Here's how the tour works: In each state, I will select 1-2 families of first responders and mow their lawns. After mowing, I'll conduct a brief interview (why the became a first responder ect ) and take a picture with the mower before heading to the next state. The tour typically spans around 20-23 days. 📸 @evyrossphotography To see my route & to sign up , visit : https://lnkd.in/gEw2pKQf Once I have cities confirmed ,I will post what cities in each state I’ll be going . I will start calling ppl next week for the cities I pick #firstresponders #backtheblue #police #emtstudent #emtlife #firedepartment #firefighter #policewife #firefighterwives

6 Secrets to Becoming the Best Gifter! #3 and #4 🎀 Think about these when purchasing those gifts: 🎁 If this person truly has everything, why not try donating to a charity in their name, that would mean something to them. If they love animals, try the local animal shelter. If they’ve lost someone close to them to cancer, donate to a local cancer organization. If they are involved in their local church, you could donate there. The possibilities are endless. 🎁 Have some fun and find their “love language” What is a love language? It’s the language the person speaks, some are words of affirmation, gift-giving, time spent with you, etc. Everyone has their own love language and if you figured out what this person’s is, they may just want your kind words or time spent together and you can focus your gift around that. Will you get it right every time? Well no, there are just some people that are truly hard to buy for, but hopefully, with a listening ear and some digging, you will find the most perfect gift from you to them. Stay tuned next week when I reveal the last 2 secrets! Grab your favorites here🎁 https://loclebox.com/ #GiftBox #GiftBag #GiftIdeas #UniqueGifts #Ohio #OhioGifts
