Master Performance Coach, Neuro Reconditioning Co-Founder, Human Performance Consultant, Host of Leave Your Mark, son of Lois, husband to Jaime, dad to Gretchen
We often get asked what it's like to work together as husband and wife on our business and life. It’s not without its challenges, but the truth is, it’s exceptionally rewarding, enriching, and fulfilling. We balance each other. Jaime is this great combination of intelligence, thoughtfulness, and tenacity. She thinks a lot about what she wants to do, and why she wants to do it, and her attention to detail especially with her clients is incredible. She is an inspiration to her clients, and her clients believe in her, listen to her, and invest in themselves because she invests in them. I like the big picture, I like creating the vision inside me, I like solving my clients’ problems. I’ve been lucky to work in some incredible performance environments with a myriad of athletes that gives me a unique perspective about human performance. Together we find ways to serve our community and our clients, and at the same time take care of ourselves and our daughter. We aren’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but we always try to do our best by each other and those we serve. Reconditioning is an extension of who we are, we want those in human performance to have success both for themselves and for their clients, and we are in it for the long-term. Our mission at Reconditioninghq.com is to empower movement professionals to confidently navigate the grey area between rehabilitation and performance. We want you to succeed! Board Certified in Swallowing, Founder/CEO of the MedSLP Collective and MedSLP Education, Host of the Swallow Your Pride Podcaster, Best-Selling Author of “So You’re Having Trouble Swallowing,” PhD student
You’ve heard “qualified” SLP… You’ve heard “seasoned” SLP… But what does it mean to be an “effective” SLP – particularly in the medical space?! Years ago, if you asked me what it took to be an effective SLP, I probably would’ve said it was about pouring all of my heart, energy, time, and LIFE into work. That being completely engulfed in your job, juggling caseloads, and meeting relentless demands was the norm if you *actually* wanted to change people’s lives. … and I know I’m not alone in this. So many SLPs feel this pressure as if their career demands every last bit of their time and energy in order to feel like a “good” SLP. But things don’t need to be this way. They SHOULDN’T be this way. 👉🏼 I’m bringing together some of the leading experts in the MedSLP world to share how to make 2024 your most productive year, better yet, your most effective! If you’re a MedSLP who wants to learn not just how to be effective WITH your patients and the outcomes they achieve, but how to enjoy your life outside of work again — this is for you. Comment “ME” and I’ll send details on how to register! #medslp #productivity #medslpcareer #slp #speechpathologist #worklifebalance #productivityhelp #patientcare

PT Business Coach/Mentor, Multi-Practice Executive, Entrepreneur, Softwave-Shockwave Distributor & Author of “Shockwave Surge”
Hey, Physical Therapist “Employees” who “dream” of their own practice… How long will you let fear stop you? If I asked you to design your perfect career on paper….how many of you would write: 1.) See multiple patients at the same time. 2.) Earn, Accrue, and Request 3-4 weeks of time off (out of an entire year) to enjoy your family time and vacations. 3.) Be pushed to bill a certain number of units. 4.) Be so swamped with documentation and administrative burden that patient care is always a rush job. 5.) “Maybe” get a 2.5-5% annual raise and watch compensation grow at a snails pace for entire career.

When I was 17, I was a floor staff at the YMCA. When someone asked me how to lose weight, I felt like an imposter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I became a certified personal trainer. When my client’s progress stalled, I felt like an imposter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I graduated with a major in kinesiology. When I trained a client and they get hurt, I felt like an imposter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I got a doctorate in physical therapy. When I applied everything I learned in school and my patients didn’t get better, I felt like an imposter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I spent years learning from people smarter than me. When I quit my job to start PhysioX with social media, I didn’t get any new clients. I felt like an imposter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I learned how to create better content. When I opened the brick & mortar clinic, nobody walked in. So I learned how to network. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Since we started, PhysioX had helped over 100 people with our specific approach. We hired an awesome clinic manager and added a new clinician with unimpeachable character. As I am typing this right now, I have imposter syndrome. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To those of you who are feeling imposter syndrome in whatever it is that you are doing, I want you to know that I feel you…but keep going... #physiox #lifewithoutlimits #impostersyndrome #impostersyndromeisreal
