🚀 Presentation Alert! 🚀 Today, I had the honor of presenting our paper, “Stabilisation of Stochastic Single-File Dynamics Using Port-Hamiltonian Systems,” at the 6th International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems in Cambridge, UK, see https://lnkd.in/dChnc6GU This collaborative work with Julia Ackermann, Thomas Kruse, and Antoine Tordeux explores how introducing a relaxation/adaptation term—acting as the input in the stochastic port-Hamiltonian framework—can effectively stabilize dynamics even amidst stochastic noise. We've demonstrated a significant improvement in stabilizing the dynamics. This term acts as a guiding force, gently nudging the agents' speeds towards a desired constant. Our findings offer valuable insights for the design and control of real-world systems, such as road traffic flows. Looking Ahead: TGF 2024 Our work continues with the accepted paper, "Modeling car-following dynamics with stochastic input-state-output port-Hamiltonian systems," set to be presented at the 15th Traffic and Granular Flow (TGF) conference in Lyon, France, see https://lnkd.in/daiNEA46.
