Having an abundance mindset without putting in the work?.. nope, doesn’t work. I can think and believe all I want that the world is full of enough resources and time for me to accomplish my goals BUT.. if I’m just thinking abundantly and not acting consistentky (showing up & doing the work) the thinking alone isn’t going to cut it. 🤔 I can think all I want that there’s enough business (accounts) for our entire sales team to call on, 🤔 I can think all I want that there’s enough leads for us all to fill our pipelines, 🤔 I can think all I want that there’s plenty of career opportunities for us all to advance into, BUT.. if I’m not calling on accounts consistently if I’m not following up with leads consistently if I’m not developing myself consistently having an abundance mindset alone won’t be of much (or any) service to me, regardless of the abundance of opportunity that may exist. show up do the work think abundantly 👆in that order. .#motivation #sales #coaching #abundancemindset

Stop sabotaging your growth. 🛑 Working with and observing many sales individuals I’ve witnessed a lot over the years. I’ve been lucky enough to work along side and learn from some exceptionally gifted and hard working sales professionals! Every day they apply themselves, hold themselves accountable, knows how many no’s get them to a YES and keeps going! But as many of these I have had the luck to be around, I’ve also come across just as many who think they’re so smart but all they do is sabotage their own growth. People think that just because the company have p*ssed you off or the manager hasn’t kissed your feet and praised you so much for being born that it’s ok to not bother to work I hear these sales people say.. “I’ll show them, F the company, I’m not even going to bother to work, they can fire me.” I get the frustration of being annoyed with the company and your boss, it’s happened to me many many times! BUT! One thing we should always try to do is to not let ourselves be the reason for it not working! Does this mean you should just suck it up and keep working there. Potentially (not everyday can be great) But also, maybe it is time to leave if you’re not wanting to be the best you can be each day because you’re not feeling the love. Remember , it’s not about getting better at your job, it’s about being a better you. Jobs will change, roles will change but the real growth happens when you keep working on yourself. The industry you work in can be very small and most likely you’ll run into people you’ve worked with and more than likely they might be asked what you will bring to the business. You only perform consistently with how you see yourself conceptually.😳 Your role performance is likely to vary over time, based on any number of factors. Your value as a human doesn’t vary. We all perform countless roles ... business professional, parent, golfer, cook, gardener. When something goes wrong, or you’ve not met your own expectations, we often devalue our self-worth. For instance, if you blow a presentation, your golf ball lands in the rough, or you burn dinner, we may let our self-worth drop🔻to a 2 instead of 10. If we let instances like these build up in our mind, we may start believing we don’t deserve success. That mindset is risky. ⚠️ Suddenly you become an At-Leaser. People do business with people they like. But what does “being likeable" even mean? Here's what it doesn't mean: - being nice for nice-ness sake - being popular - being everything to everyone Here's what it does mean: - asking for respect instead of being liked - being honest and authentic - being positive - listening to people - recognizing effort Likeability, charisma, presence - whatever you call it, it can accelerate your success. For example -- Sometimes you might choose to let a prospect be heard than try to rattle off the latest product features. Sometimes just listening to a co-worker and a nod of appreciation can go a long way to build relationships. Sometimes telling a client what they don't want to hear earns respect rather than squanders it. Sometimes its advantageous to use easy to understand language instead of industry jargon not because people can't or won't understand, but because they simply don't have the time. They're busy thinking about the next meeting, when they're going to pick up the kids, or what deliverable is due tomorrow. They will appreciate the work you’ve done to make the message easy to digest. Chances are you already do many of these things, but there is always room to improve. Taking a step back can help us identify areas where we can take action so that the next sale/promotion/leadership opportunity gets closer to our reach.
