The business operating environment continues to become more legally complex. Expertly navigating this complexity is mission critical. Still, legal only enables core activities. Given the natural preference to allocate finite resources to core activities, the gap grows, and will continue to widen, between business needs and the legal resources available to satisfy those needs. The enterprise’s legal needs are increasing while the willingness to allocate resources to legal does not, and will not, increase in a proportionate manner.
