One is sometimes consumed by the release of the SECs final cybersecurity risk management rule as it effects covered entities on U.S capital markets. There are also 2 further and equally important SEC cyber regulations in the Final rule stage. https://lnkd.in/g39nPib5 1. Cybersecurity Risk Management Rules for Broker-Dealers, Clearing Agencies, MSBSPs, the MSRB, National Securities Associations, National Securities Exchanges, SBSDRs, SBS Dealers, and Transfer Agents and 2. Cybersecurity Risk Management for Investment Advisers, Registered Investment Companies, and Business Development Companies. These rules will have an significant impact on U.S financial market participants and infrastructure. They increase the scope of cybersecurity risk management oversight, assurance and attestation by an order of magnitude greater than that associated with the SEC final cyber rule, that is focused on capital market covered entities.
