I just studied this in my International Terrorism Policy course in my Florida State University Interdisciplinary Social Science program. From my writings, "The FBI states that the largest threat to our nation is domestic solo offenders or small groups who rage out against others that do not share beliefs in politics, religion, education, race, or the ways laws should be enforced (Skillman, 2024a). More specifically, it is far-right violent extremism that affects the U.S. as the greatest domestic violent extremism (DVE). Surprisingly, women forge a large number of extreme violent groups here in America (Samuels & Shajkovci, 2022)." We studied Columbine and the offspring of that horrific event. Agreeing with you, TeamKennedy, taking guns away from America is not the solution. The solution will be found in building resilience through all-grade character education, enhanced trade-skill education for high schoolers+, and prison reform programs.
My stance on the Second Amendment is simple: I’m not going to take anyone’s guns away. I believe in the Constitution. But Americans need to work together to figure out why we have mass shootings every 21 hours. Something changed around the time of the Columbine shootings in 1999, and it wasn’t the number of guns in America. The National Institutes of Health refuses to investigate the mystery; in fact, Congress prohibits the NIH from researching the cause of mass shootings. Under my administration, that rule ends — and our kids’ safety becomes a top priority.
Thank you, @glennbeck, for the conversation.
