It's such a privilege to be acknowledged alongside these incredible women at IE Hub for #InternationalWomensDay. Working in FinTech means being part of an industry that's not only innovative but also directly impacts people’s lives, especially at IE Hub. Marketing these financial solutions to our customers makes me feel like I'm contributing to something bigger. So, being a female marketer in the FinTech industry is truly an experience like no other. However, it is important to note that with the current national statistics showing that men are twice as likely to reach top marketing positions compared to women, it’s clear that advocating for women in the workplace needs to be an everyday commitment, not just a focus for International Women's Day. The UK-wide gender pay gap in marketing, sitting at a significant 16% - more than double the UK average of 7.7%. That’s why I feel incredibly proud to be part of a company like IE Hub that not only recognises but actively invests in female talent across all aspects of the business. Gender should never define one's success or growth trajectory and I have never felt that my gender has impacted my growth at IE Hub. At IE Hub, my contributions and achievements are acknowledged and celebrated. My own disclosure of bias first. I grew up professionally working for JPMorgan andJamie Dimon's principles were instilled in me early in my career and I have carried them with me from the bank right up into the start-up technology space. What I love about what Jamie is saying here is that DEI is NOT charity. Diversity for the sake of doing the "right thing" is built on a weak foundation and many of the cutbacks you are seeing in DEI initiatives now are directly tied to how wobbly the reasons (See: Foundation) were they were instituted in the first place. Here is the thing Jamie has said more eloquently than me. Diversity is a strategic advantage. If your team is not diverse then just know you are not recruiting and retaining the very best talent in the world because if you were then you would be reaching into every available talent pool to find the best. Diversity of viewpoint, experience, culture, approach, vision are all critically important to business success. The list could go on and on but let me give you some facts: ·      On average, within the first 24 months of appointing female CFOs, companies see a 6% increase in profits and an 8% better stock return, per Bloomberg. ·      Research shows that company profits and share performance can be close to 50% higher when women are well represented at the top, according to McKinsey & Co.’s Diversity Matters #winning #leadership #culturematters

I was asked to speak about “Women and Building Wealth” at the R.I.S.E. Women's Leadership Conference last year, and I still find the facts I shared there to be interesting and relevant today. 👑According to a survey by Fidelity Investments, female investors outperform male investors by an average of 40 basis points, or 0.4 percent — a seemingly negligible difference but one that makes a substantial impact over time. 👑Women maintain more balanced investment portfolios with an asset mix aimed at both growth and preservation. (source: MassMutual research) 👑Female investors tend to ‘buy and hold’, which can reduce trading costs and potentially lead to higher returns.
