I tell myself often that this or that is out of my control. it's not in my scope. don't make it my issue if it wasn't mine to begin with. I try to tell the team this too. Because it's so important. You're the advocate. The Case Manager. Not the parent. You don't need to maneuver your already insanely packed schedule to make room to take someone swimsuit shopping.Or to answer every single text or phone call when it's not important. You can find someone who can take them. You can ask someone to check in on them to make sure everything is ok. That's your job. It's okay to say you need help. It's okay to ask for it. It's okay to ask me to pick up a task for you. I'm your leader. There's nothing that you can do that I can't. So ask me. I encourage monthly outings for the team. I WANT the team building. We need to let go and relax. Separate from work a bit. If you're hard on yourself and try to do everything, the frustration will end you.

Minimize the rebound time to get back up. Best advice I've been given. It can be hard staying consistent. We all fall off and all fail often enough. Learn from the mistakes and keep pushing forward. Fall in love with the process, not the result.
